I do too, though I don't want to see a rookie QB make it to the SB. Then again, I doubt anyone would ever compare Orton to Roethlisberger. Maybe Grossman will take over before then anyway.

Even though Jacksonville doesn't have Leftwich, the Colts are gonna really hand it to the Jags this week, even if Leftwich was playing, it wouldn't be that close. Yes, the Jags only lost to the Colts at Indy 10-3, they caught the offense on a bad day and still lost. The Colts offense is clicking like crazy, it's gonna be hard for any defense to stop them.

He through 0, but I think he might have thrown 28. A good reason for that is setting a rookie record for most pass attempts (575). Having a rookie QB throwing the ball that many times, often playing from way behind, being a 3-13 team, you're just asking for trouble.

Jacksonville Jaguars, as for the Steelers, they depend on their defense and running most of the time, Ben is more of a game management QB (but he can put up the stats). Colts shut down the run, the Steelers D didn't stop the Colts, yes Cowher is a dumbass coach that game.

If Seahawks get home field advantage then it's lights out for the entire NFC. No one can win in Seattle. And they'll most likely meet the overrated colts in the even more overrated AFC. The Seahawks are the perfect match for the Colts. This is their year. Jacksonville with Leftwich and Taylor are a good team, and they held them to 3 pts.
The Steelers aren't playing their best ball, but to beat them 26-7 and shut down the running game, that is an impressive showing.
If these wins don't count for some reason, then which team in the league has more impressive victories against teams with winning records? And I can't believe a Pats fan would try and make this argument. How many times in 01-04 did we see NE steal a victory at the end from a quality team, or sometimes even a bad team they couldn't even dominate?

I need to read what I write instead of just typing away. The Bears aren't going to throw the ball anywhere near that much. They have too much to lose now. They have two strong runners. This team will win the field position game against any team and Robbie Gould will keep chipping 20-30 yarders all day while Nathan Vasher snags a couple picks a touchdown. This is going to happen all season and Kyle Ortan will only become a better QB as the season continues.

Maybe. You don't need a good QB to win football games. Where the Bears lack offense, the defense and special teams pick up. Brad Maynard averaged 48.7 yards in punts last sunday. The Bears are going to win games by winning the field position game.
you can't win a superbowl with no offense. you just can't.

Not to mention if they go 19-0, it will go down in NFL history as the greatest season ever, and practically trump the NE run from 01-04. That would be hilarious.

Doesn't matter what Patriot fans will think, if the Colts were to win back-to-back SBs, including an undefeated season, the NE run will be reduced to a footnote for this decade. I feel that if the Eagles won one or two in their 5 year run, it would have also knocked off NE's run.

Nah, Patriot fans will still think they are better. Hell, Peyton Manning could cure cancer and aids, and everyone would still prasie Brady over him.
Definately not this year, They only have beaten the Steelers and the Falcons. Every other decent team has stomped them.

Well, when we talked about NFL and what happened in this decade (2000-2010) everyone will rank the Colts perfect season over the Patriots Super Bowl wins. Plus, Manning is just getting started, the defense will only get better, he will win more Super Bowl rings than Brady.

Well, the Colts defense is young and most of the D is all under contract. The only real off season issues for the Colts are going to be the resigning of Wayne and James. That'll be interesting.

The early 70's Dolphins only won 2, meanwhile the Cowboys won 2 that decade, and the Steelers won 4, yet you hear about the 72 Dolphins (not even the 73 team that won it too) as much as any of them.
The Panthers came close and dropped 29 on their unstoppable defense.

Dude. You keep commenting on me and my grammar when all I did was make a typo. The Tampa Bay thing made perfect sense, sorry you can't grasp your fragile little mind around it. Chicago Bears - Great defense questionable QB. Tampa Bay a few years ago - Great Defense, questionable QB. Tampa Bay signs a veteran, more skilled QB, they win a super bowl.
The connection to make is that Chicago needs a quality QB before winning the Super Bowl. It's that fucking simple. Jesus Christ.

Yes it does. Jeez. What is so difficult about this? In the past a team has needed an above average QB to win a Super Bowl. End of story. I don't think the Bears will go to the super bowl with Kyle Orton

Chargers squeek past the Colts on a last second winning field goal by Nate Kaeding in the AFC Championship. Redeaming himself from last years miss against the Jets. Chargers go on to face the Seahawks in a clash of an old AFC West Rivalary...Chargers win with LT doing what he does best running for a TD, catching a TD and throwing for a TD. Bolts win 35-21

I'm a huge Chargers fan and I just hope we don't overlook the Dolphins this week, and think to next weeks game with Indy. I thnk the Chargers might be the only team that could match up against the Colts. That is if Jammer could cover anyone and the Bolts secondary can come through in some tight spots. But I know that our offense can go toe to toe with Indy.

LT would rush for about 13 yards against the colts d.

LT might only rush for 13 but if you remember that the Eagles also shut down LT, and the Bolts should have won that game if it wasn't the blocked field goal. They do have more weapons then just LT. Just having LT in the backfield keeps every defense on their toes...

Not to mention if they go 19-0, it will go down in NFL history as the greatest season ever, and practically trump the NE run from 01-04. That would be hilarious.
Doesn't matter what Patriot fans will think, if the Colts were to win back-to-back SBs, including an undefeated season, the NE run will be reduced to a footnote for this decade. I feel that if the Eagles won one or two in their 5 year run, it would have also knocked off NE's run.
