its like Touch Football (touch rugby league), but instead of touching u have to tags attached to your shorts to grab 1, its a lot better than touch cause it slows up the game a bit more so its like real footy instead of the 100miles an hour rolling game u get with touch that just ends up whos fastest at playing the ball, and ur allowed to kick and its more physical
good game, should be a better expanation if u google it

Ultimate frisbee is close enough to a sport...played well. I'm not sure I'd call frisbee golf a sport, but its def fun

At the 1:45 mark.. a defender shoulders a forward out of the way and then proceeds to strike the ball over the bar (between the posts) from seventy five yards... Amazing score. Not bad for amateur athletes who train just as professionally as the most well paid sports stars.

The most expensive soccer player on the planet seems to enjoy the Hurling.
http://www.anfearrua.com/images/upload/aRaulhurlingatadidasevent.jpg
...and this bonafined legend has even tried his hand at it.
Tsht1n005fI
I just remembered this video. When Munster played the All Blacks last year, the squad was shown how to play Gaelic Football and Hurling. The Irish guy talking at the end is Seán Óg Ó hAilpín.. probably one of the most iconic Hurling players of this generation. Also, the guy on the left of the video still above, standing next to Dan Carter, is Joe Canning. The guy I posted a video of scoring a goal from that long run from deep. Class act. Still only twenty years of age. That's probably all shinfo to most people here but...
I'd love to see the sport gain more popularity. Would be interesting to see if people from different countries/cultures could adapt to the skills of it.

i dont get how they can run with the ball in their hands. doesnt that negate the use for sticks?
its pretty much like lacrosse/hockey combined.

They don't. Well, they can hold in in their hands for three strides. Anything more and it's overcarrying and there's a free given to the other team. The player can run with it on the Hurl for as long as he likes though... It's amazing to see someone doing it in full flight.
This video will explain it far better than any words that I could use...
