This is for the brit kids, we actually have choices in our education system.
So which have you chosen or going to choose and why?

i went to 6th form because there was one at my school and i wanted to continue being a part of the music department at my school, in the bands etc. and also cause i wanted to do academic stuff so i could go to uni.
you should make this into a poll.

Don't go to 6th form. You have to mingle with the year 7,8,9,10 and 11 crowd.
It's like a college joined onto a school, Bryan.

You don't have to mingle with them, they do have this program where you help a kid lower down but you don't have to join it.

It was gay. We had classes in rooms next to year 9 and 10 so we ran into each other all the time.

Minds a pretty big school, massivly overcrowded school so I can't see that happening much.

I went to sixth form. We had our own part of the school and didn't have to do anything with the kids unless you were a prefect (I didn't play sport and the teachers hated me = no prefect). I thought it was better than college because:
a)better qualifications which lead to uni
b)better choices of subjects (I'd rather do Business Studies than General Studies or Byzantine studies)
c)it means you don't have to change school...again
d)The facilities at school are good

I'm not actually in sixthform or college neither am i going next year. I'm in year 8. But the sixthform in my school isn't too bad. but you are right with the sixthforms 'mingling' with the year 7,8,9,10,11s. we have a prefect system and a buddy system. The buddy system is where a year lower sixthformer is paired up with a year 7.The prefect system is where every year has tow prefects coming to the form period and do activites with us. I don't like it because no matter what year you are you can't escape them!

Yeah, we had our own part of the school too, but the classes were all mixed in togther. And just generally walking about and mingling with the little tossers. It was a nightmare.

To be honest where I come from you stay in 6th form if you are actually of any academic worth. Most of the kids that go to college are wasters, who shouldn't actually be in school because they no longer want to learn. I don't know why that is here.

That's way harsh, a few of my friends are in year 10 and 11, theyre only like 2 or 3 years younger, you don't even notice.
And yeah i went to college seeing as i didnt get the grades to go to 6th form. And ive done ok at college so thats cool.
