you see, I've got nothing where my hands once sat
I'm so selfish - I don't want to cause the damage

well, I found myself at the back of this ship -
too weak to carry myself, so I'm going down with it
does that make me a captain or does that make me a coward?
well, it makes you a bastard for just sitting in your ivory tower

so, I'm going back to where I once was glad
no rattle in this skull that could show me the good and the bad
no tremors in these bones that could teach me one more thing -
