Thats crap man, im sorry. I'd hate to lose my cats (sounds a bit sad - but i dont give a shit). My cousin has recently been diagnosed with a terminal bone marrow cancer, he has 2-10 years so its a bit shit. We all have to go sometime though unfortunately.

I'm sorry :-(.
I guess just get as much quality time with him as you can. God, I dread the day one of my cats gets sick. They are like family. Well, non talking family. But, you get the gist.

I'm sorry, that really sucks. I remember when my guinea pig got cancer but she had an operation with like really tiny gas masks and stuff... can't they do that?
Give the dog a bone... marrow transplant.

omg, i don't know why, but that sounded so cute. little tiny gas masks, lol. i'm glad that people don't just let their guinea pigs suffer because they're inexpensive to replace. that honestly gives me a little more faith in humanity.

This reminds me of Seinfeld where George hits a squirrel with his car.
To the OP - good luck with everything, it sucks when a pet is sick. Just hope for the best.

Sorry to hear that. My dog currently is suffering from lymphoma, and it breaks my heart because she is getting more and more sick by the day and she knows she is getting increasingly ill and she's always whining and panting all the time because of it.

Sorry to hear that :-(. My dog is getting old, he has like 5 tumors and he limps around, makes me sad. He's probably got a few years left as well.

I know the feeling, of what its like to lose a pet. My cat had a infection in her body, and she just started shitting everywhere and foaming at the mouth and had a seizure, and when we finally got to the vet, their was nothing we could do, it sucked.

Aww, sorry. :-( Just spend as much time with him/her that you can and enjoy it. Try not to let the disease get in the way of trying to have fun.
10 years ago my dog died of a cancerous tumor on her front left leg. The doctors talked about amputating her leg, but thought she wouldn't enjoy life as much, so they put her down instead.

Can't I give my dog XTC? Even if it's looking really sad?
On the realz, so sorry, dude! I know how an animal can become 'part of the family'. So losing it really hurts.

I'm sad for you. My dog Missy died back in February. She was almost 13 years old.
My cats talk all day long to me. Just not really words.
My cats will sit on my lap and purr if they can tell I'm having a bad day. I consider that talking. Sorta.

I kind of made this post with the knowledge that there's really no way out for my dog. He'll be around another month or less. He started limping and then one day he wouldn't eat so we got him checked out. What he has spreads pretty quickly. I've dealt with death before, but he was a really good dog and I've had him since he was a couple weeks old so it's just a weird feeling. This thread was pretty much me venting. Thanks for the replies though.

Really? Thanks for bringing light to that, I had no idea. In other news, there's a troll who thinks he's really witty for posting about people in my dog thread...

Aww this reminds me of when my friend's puppy had lung cancer... everytime she got really happy she would start heaving violently :-( It was really sad. And at some point the cancer traveled to her legs and she had to get one removed so she only had three legs (which was pretty badass if you ask me). But at somepoint the cancer caused her remaining back leg to swell and she couldn't walk unless you wheel-barrowed her. They ended up having to put her to sleep :-(

Irrelevant, we weren't talking about that. I don't know if you've ever had a pet or not, but you probably haven't. When you have a pet you love them to bits. Having them die is nearly as horrible as a family member die.

Play Grim Fandango and enjoy the irony of having a dog with bone cancer, and playing a character who's all bone and is tortured by his fate.

That really sucks about your dog. My dog got stomach cancer like 2 years ago and it killed him 1 week after his diagnosis. it went so fast...
