i've never been a white sox fan, but growing up i always had baseball cards of frank thomas. one of the premier hitters in the mid 90's. it's kinda sad to know i probably wont ever see him in a sox uniform again. hopefully he can go somewhere, be a DH, and contribute 15 or 20 homers.

no way dude

hopefully he retires a white sox.

i really hope we dont have to add a frank thomas jersey in the uniforms that never happened hall of fame, alongside Robert Parrish's Hornets jersey.

if a player is still able to contribute, even if it's in a small way, they should continue playing. what about parish playing for the bulls? he got another championship at age 43. frank thomas could easily go to another team, if he could remain healthy for even half of a season, and easily contribute 20 HR's.

frank thomas hasnt had an injury free season since who knows when... he needs to hang it up.

actually it was just two years ago when he hit 42 hr's and drove in 105 guys. he's still got it if he remains healthy. his stats last year were insane. he only played 34 games, but somehow managed to hit 12 homeruns, that's a homer every 3 games, if he could do that for half of a season, and contribute to a team, then he should. but, ill agree with you...id love to see him retire as a member of the white sox, it'd be weird seeing him in a different uni. the only way he should go somewhere else is if it's for a contender...but he got his ring this year, so maybe he should retire...ok ill shut up.

yeah i mean like i understand that he can contribute still but i hate seeing people whoever only played for one team the majority of their career go elsewhere for the end

its like emmitt smith playing for the cardinals man. and as a dallas fan (my dad raised me one) that fuckin hurt to watch.

the only thing that sucks is the way the chisox treated him. they essentially forced him to retire or go somewhere else. that's not right. but i'd much rather see him retire a white sock than roger clemens his career. even though i dont think he's got many, if any, good seasons left in him.

however, in more important news, the tigers just signed todd jones back. detroit in '06.
