Pathetic, but I've realized that I only read news if no extra link-clicking and new window opening is required. So, does anyone know of any comprehensive unbiased news blogs for serious news? Thanks!

Unbiased? That's pretty hard to find but I've heard nothing but good things about NPR (http://www.npr.org/).

RealClearPolitics links to various sources of all sorts of viewpoints.

Also, 538 blog is pretty unbiased, if you will. He lets the numbers do his talking.

Also a corollary to the original post, anybody know some NY state politics blogs? That would be awesome.

A blog can hardly be unbiased. And if it is connected to a media company, you have to be concerned about corporate interests that fund the news through advertising. I personally adore the Huffington Post. And it doesn't pretend to be unbiased. I'm not really sure there is such a thing a clearly unbiased media... this could be due to the fact that my ideas of jounalism are jaded. But like Justin said -"What is 'unbiased'?" One could go into the most complex philosophical debates over this one... ^^

Then again, there are some fascinating international news forums etc. And if the subject is Israel/Palestine, you'll see comments in about 30 languages. It's amazing. So maybe it is unbiased if you take all the opinions and put them together..a l;fj;kle;a e asomething like that. I have to go take a test for my journalism class [note: grammar class haha]. Irony.

All pretty interesting news blogs. None of them really have the format I was looking for though. I was hoping: short overview article, scroll down, another short article, scroll down, ect.
