Amy Lee (Evanescence (http://www.evanescence.com/)) is suing their former managment, Dennis Rider and Rider Management, for breach of fiduciary duty, professional negligence, conversion, sexual assault and battery, and more. You will find a message from their (ex?) management below.
Rider Management and Dennis Rider have fully performed all of the duties and obligations owed by the firm under the management agreement to Ms. Lee and EVANESCENCE. Further, Mr. Rider has always conducted himself by the highest professional standards and conducted his business relationships with Ms. Lee in a transparent, appropriate and entirely legal fashion. That she would now suggest otherwise is appalling and untrue.
Ms. Lee is very creative in writing lyrics to a song. But now she is creating a version of reality that simply has no basis in fact and she knows that. Dennis Rider's guidance of EVANESCENCE and Ms. Lee's personal career has made her a rock and roll celebrity worldwide and wealthy beyond her dreams. That she would now turn on him, make such spurious and groundless allegations and summarily dismiss him is illegal and disappointing beyond words.

Shes such a studio singer, its not even funny. I used to work at a venue Evanescence was playing at and she was doing soundcheck, and people were laughing at her it was so bad.

what does conversion mean in this context?
conversion is an intentional tort (other intentional torts include assault, battery, false imprisonment, etc.) and it is basically the destruction of personal property. It has to be damaged so much that it can no longer be used or the cost of repair has to be more than the cost of the property itself. It is the more serious form of trespass to chattels which is just minor damage to someone's personal property. The difference is between someone keying your car or bashing the engine repeatedly with a sledgehammer.
Wow, I knew studying for these law school finals would come in handy but I never thought I'd be defining conversion on AP.net...hahaha, oh well, back to work.

you'd be crazy to think that 90% of the people recording out there...even the bands posted on here...don't use studio effects to enhance/process their sound. of course, some people use it to the extreme (auto-tuning an entire song rather than a few notes...so much compression/reverb/editing that it is no longer sentence sung at the same time)....but everyone uses effects. its how you use them that makes a difference.

And just what does "properly" sexual assaulted mean? Do you mean she's been improperly assaulted and therefore it doesn't matter?
