In 2004 I found out my third cousin(who I've never contacted in my life, I'm from Cleveland, he's in Seattle, but his mom, my mom's cousin was at a Thanksgiving dinner) is in a band called the Kidcrash, didn't really get into them at first but I thought it was cool, and then they blew up with Jokes and and I got really into them. Although I tend to forget that I'm related to the kid since we have no contact whatsoever, it's still a cool though.
