Protest the Hero (http://www.purevolume.com/protestthehero) is rumored to be announcing their pretty big signing in the near future.

who could this band be?
EDIT:
Wow, they are pretty sad. The world is seriously a sick dark place.
quoted from their site "Thrashing outta Whitby, these guys are going to raise more than their share of eyebrows and fists. Intelligence and anger clash head to head. "
wow that's just hilarious.

I knew they were going to get some well-deserved recognition after the release of Kezia. My favourite album of the year and one of the best I've heard in a long time. For a group of 19 year olds they've really got their heads screwed on and I know they won't be making any ill-advised label decisions.

Kezia: Best album of 2005. The timing of each song makes no sense. I can't wait to see them live. Opening for the Bled? I hope.
I'm guessing Victory, they probably caught someones eye on Silverstein's tour
Way too many metal cliches for my taste. They've got some major talent, they just need to find some unique ground to stand on.
And the singing on that second song... is just whiny beyond imagination.

Kezia is insane, great great album, if you can't hear the talent... then I don't know what to say. I knew they would get some serious attention soon.

Exactly. How can anyone critisize this band? Look at the fucking music most of you listen to and some of the comments you throw out about this band.

they ARE on underground operations...but UO are a tiny canadian label, with the band's growing popularity they couldn't stay there forever.

I wonder if UO will go under, Closet Monster have broken up and are playing their last show here in Toronto and now PTH are leaving. Sucks for them.

I dunno if I would call Underground Operations tiny..they do have major label distro through Universal. I think the label will be ok.

What? are all of you except the people i actually recognize from pn.o clueless about this band? THe guys in closet monster quit the band to focus on the label. I'll bet a 100 bucks that it's sort of a dtr->mca deal and that they're just taking the band from them.

Wouldn't that mean that Universal would pick them up? And they probably just have distro through Universal CANADA, which isn't really shit. If it's Vagrant they have no attachment to the label. Your post made pretty much no sense, thanks.

man, how could you possibly talk shit about this band? they are insanely talented... sure metal isnt for everyone and thats fine, but they are overflowing with undeniable talent and the song-writing on that album is insane. they are incredibly nice guys too, and if you judge them by their website or their blogs or anything, those are heavily doused in sarcasm.. obviously a concept not too many people get.
amazing band
Kezia is definately one of the top cds that was released this year, it was a very solid album that was a nice break after all the dissapointments that shit all over the scene this year.

" I'll bet a 100 bucks that it's sort of a dtr->mca deal and that they're just taking the band from them." Already answers that first question. And no, the deal is not only for universal canada... And i never mentioned vagrant.
