Yeah. See, for what they do, FOB and TBS do it quite well. I didn't manage to get into the new FOB album (although Dance Dance is dangerously catchy), but still, the amount of hate towards them seems to stem solely from the fact that they now have money.

or follow up albums not being as good as the first
True, neither follow ups were as good as the first, but loads of bands' follow ups aren't as good as the first, yet if they don't reach the insane popularity of FOB or TBS, then they don't get hated on nearly as much.

Examples: Thursday. Thrice. Get Up Kids. Saves The Day. Copeland.

People may dislike the later albums by these bands, but rarely do they bash the band for it.

How can a band at a festival be out of place? They don't all play on the same stage. There is usually a huge variety of the entire punk genre.

Ohh, gotta disagree with you there. All of those bands have taken tons of shit. The reason FOB gets more is that Wentz always comes off looking like a pop star or diva and people don't like it. With TBS the difference is the member change. Peole loved John but they only like Fred, and many of them really don't like Adam, so they don't really support them in the same way.

There's a difference still though. People now hate FOB, but do they hate Saves The Day? No. They hate In Reverie. Do people hate Copeland? No, they hate In Motion.

We might be agreeing here, but I'm not sure. People love old TBS and FOB music, they just don't like (some of) the people in those bands now. People might not like new Copeland, but they still like Aaron. Everyone who hated In Reverie thinks of it as a fluke, they don't hate Chris. It's really not about the music at all...it's about the people producing it. So yes, those other bands have taken shit for their music, but everyone still likes them as people.

Your sig not only made my day, it made college worth it. So thank you so much:girlsmash

That is a terrible idea. Do you know how pissed the fans would be if SA just showed up to play Bamboozle unannounced? Do you know how many diehard SA fans would go just for that? They would be rewarding FFTL fans while screwing over people that follow their every move. I'm sure that would go over really well.

i had so much fun when i went to skate and surf...then this year it was the bamboozle...and it was awful. it was the biggest clusterfuck ever. i'm glad we were at the berkley, we could see the lines start forming and leave when we needed to. then they locked a ton of people out, because they oversold. BIG MESS, and it'll probably be the same way again, even at a different venue.

I remember going online to buy tickets to Bamboozle on April 1st this year and they were sold out. I thought it was a good April Fool's joke. But then it wasn't.

I'll believe Say Anything when I see them
