As a follow-up (correction) to a previous post (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=100581), it was not Victory Records (http://www.victoryrecords.com) who picked the bands for this soundtrack, it was EA Sports. Therefore, it was not Victory choosing an Aiden song over Spitalfield (as my title implied), it was a deaf-employee at EA instead. Shows that I know dick about licensing deals. I'll be honest, your money is better spent on the new Spitalfield album (Stop Doing Bad Things), then it is on a college baseball game.

I'm sure victory had some sort of influence on the bands picked, since it's the only label with bands on the soundtrack.

i was wondering how much victory paid to have all the tracks on the game. I know that spots on video games are pretty highly sought after for record labels becasue it really drills the artists into kids heads. I would say it's a pretty good strategy on thier part.

As for the Baseball game, it's run on EA's MVP engine which makes me excited because MVP 05 kicks ass.

If this game is less than $25.00 I'll give it a try

EA lost the license to make MLB games and probably want to stay in the market, so college baseball it is. Agreed on that spitalfield is way > than horror/makeupcore or whatever aiden is supposed to be.

I dont see how anyone who cares enough about COLLEGE BASEBALL to buy this game will enjoy Aiden. And these people have marketing degrees and MBAs....

i thought that the college baseball thing was a joke. How many people are actually going to buy this?

Do you know how many people buy college basketball and football games? Plus, this is EA sports only option is to make a college baseball game. Either that or made up teams like Blitz did witht The League. EA sports bought the license to NFL so they are the only ones that can make pro football games and I think it was ESPN or some other company that bought the MLB license.

Why are they doing this now where only one company can make the games. For me it has always been EA sports with the rest way behind them for my money. The last MVP baseball was only 29.99 when it came out which was nice so hopefully this game will be the same. As for the guy that said that they have college basketball and college baseball games as well. Yes they do but the following is much bigger for those sports than college baseball. College baseball isnt even on TV in my area until the playoffs and world series when espn picks up a few games.

The swinging system for this game is the best I've ever seen, very realistic.

As for the men wearing makeup I thought he was talking about the way abunch of players do thier eye-black

MVP NCAA 06 is gonna be the shit, though... and it'll be $29.99, at least that's what we got in the computer at GameStop.

It is kind of an odd soundtrack for a college baseball game... Spitalfield would fit pretty well, but I'm not too sure about all of the other bands. I usually turn off the music when I'm playing MVP, anyway.

ah come on, Spitalfield blows. Thats a given. Generic pop punk trash, lacking any sort of genuine emotion or anything that would make them a truely different, and definable band. I bought the spitalfield album, and was really turned off by how cliche it all sounded. Don't be afraid of change, AP people.

i think that its just what kids need to hate on, they need some new bands to bash besides HH and FOB.

i also think because aiden's cd has been fairly successful, people immediately have to hate them. thats just how it works anymore.......
