catcher references...
it isn't finished.

the rhyming has no pattern and i wrote this in 20 minutes.
basically, tell me what you think.

a late night out can be known to make two ends meet
wild hearts, black lungs on suburban streets
empty pockets, 'cause they're all that they need
no hope in dope, but with weed, they're freed

her walls are down, but where to now?
nothing to give but his heart- and he grins.
not too fast- he wants this to last
not too slow- she needs room to grow

she wants to break away 'cause she can't quite bare
tied up too tight and everyone would stare
not a lover, not a fighter, but some kind of mutt-
she knows you're never in love until you've used yourself up

she drags herself along and to him she breaks the news
he shatters like glass- he never though he'd lose
to a girl who couldn't finish what she started
and turned to friends, tears, laughs and booze (thinking about changing that part)

losing is own game, he let go of what was golden
a modern day Holden, heading for his fall
running 'cause he felt like it into a hole and hit rock bottom
he didn't see it coming, he started missing everybody
