Its the ideal job really, free shows, meeting cool new people, discounted band merch....plus, everyone loves the merch girl! So, after coming home from The Presidents concert I decided to renew my search for a merch girl position.

I scoured the internet, found barely anything....and then, in a moment of complete desperation....I broke down, got an absolutepunk account and posted a thread in the classified....and, of course, people responded...and were assholes.

I understand that it is the internet, but jeez people, don't go being a dickwad to me because you're still a virgin! Godddddd.

Honestly, if she wanted a merch girl position, she'd make friends with a local band, that plays locally, alot (maybe friends from her school?), and ask them. There's a lot that goes into being in a band, which is being misinterpreted by her young mind. She can't exactly be a merch girl on a full US tour at 14.

you are older than i and i do know laws like that DO exsist. cyberbullying is becoming a serious offence, read mcleans, or read the news papers. it is a big issue. i have had people on here ball me a bitch and a whore, for no good reason at that, it does annoy me but im old enough to brush it off and not take real offense to it cause they do not know me, on the other hand 14 year olds who dont understand will have a tough time letting go. i also feed into cyber bullying, i comment on what was said about me and do a comeback but hey...it's life there should be age limits on here, but it is pretty bad sometimes and sometimes its better not to say anything rather than be mean

I know people like this, she posted the thing looking for a job (fully expecting to get positive advice) then she felt like she was being attacked (when she wasnt) she went on the defense mode, then felt she could get sympathy by saying something completely crazy (like getting chemo this summer). Then she'll either drop it completely saying it was a false alarm and move on to something else (like autism) or she'll keep going with it to the point where she'll shave her head and make herself throw up so that she looses weight (plus people with chemo throw up a lot).

Theres a name for people who do what she does, its pathetic.
