..thinks they're hardcore? last time I pictured the stereotypical hardcore it was hoodies, camo shorts, and bandanas, dancing in the pit to the likes of Comeback Kid or Converge. I've haven't seen panic live but I doubt their fans, much less their shows, fit the bill of "hardcore."

Only a scenester who really knows nothing about the scene and just says shit to try and make themsleves look cool would say something like that.

I like them. The lead singer's voice sounds a lot like Patrick(from Fall Out Boy)'s voice and that's what keeps me coming back to them. I can't listen to a band unless I like the lead singer's voice, no matter what. I can't listen to a band because the guitarist is one of the most amazing musicians in the world or if the band has the most thought provoking lyrics I've ever heard. The voice is what brings it all together for me. If you listen to one song on the album, listen to "Build God, Then We'll Talk." It's worth the cello solo alone.

Panic! At the Disco is incredibly catchy and their album has a lot of replay value. Their music is quite infectious. I mean, I understand that everyone won't like these guys and that at first listen...they do sound like Fall Out Boy with techno beats thrown in, but there is something there that keeps me coming back to them. If you don't like them, you don't like them. I'm not going to try and force you to change your mind, but in my opinion...it's one of the catchiest CDs I've ever bought for $9.99.

They are horrible live, it was hell sitting through their set at the Take Over Tour. The only upside is that was before the scenesters knew about them so I didn't have to hear people constantly screaming

No, but I don't feel like breaking down why you are very wrong. They share a genre, kind of, and their singer, at face level, sounds alike. That's where the similarities end.

i really dislike patd!. but its cool if u like them, i wont hold it against u. ANYWAYS, they just sound like a generic neo-emo group with rediculous song titles to go with their rediculous name. so, they added some poor drum machine beats, not really a big deal, and not very intriguing beats either. the album is composed of extremely slick and polished, made-for-radio music which is, ill admit, pretty catchy at times. Thats the one thing they have going for them. they have catchy, passionate choruses, which is more difficult to do than many people give credit for. I dont know why people say they like the vocals. to me, they sound very strained, and get worse on the songs when they decide to add effects to it. all in all, i just hear another band lacking any sincerity, originality, or creativity, and i dont see whats any different about them.

I like Panic! At The Disco. First imprssion was bad, but I have tem a few listens and now they're album is up on my iPod and in my iTunes and I play it not to rarely. They have some great tracks, but the titles on some songs are just stupid and trying to be poetical.

Some of us have had this CD since before the release date, and it's in fact became really boring. Different strokes for different folks I guess. I too swore by this CD, but after a while I just became so annoyed with it's pretentiousness, I wanted to throw it. Eventually you will become bored of these song so if you want them to last wait a month and reintroduce yourself to them.
