I like hip hop and rap as a style of music but I think that all types of music are like stuck to some image and the image of popular rappers isn't very appealling. Its cool if your just not into the style of music that rap is but I think most peaople are bothered by that image rappers have. Probably the biggest thing is that rappers seem to have huge egos but so do rockers so the rockers need someone to go after. Probably 90% of these scene people heavily judge people based on what music they listen to and would never come within a mile of someone "ghetto" so this will be just some constant war fueled by the convience of having a complete opposite that you never interact with to pick on and build yourself up. It was, but it made perfect sense. I live in a very urban community so the high schools were very mixed. I have listened to many different types of music just because of my old friends from high school. (rock, hip hop, reggae, hell even salsa and jazz)
