I love the Daily Show. It's one of the few shows that shows hypocracy amoing cable news channels and pundits as well as absurdadity of each situation. However, many news channels point at John Stewart as being biased as well as having a "liberal agenda." Although I beg to differ, does AP think that the Daily Show shows a balanced satire of both the liberal and conservative views? Or is John Stewart trying to lean his viewers the left?

I think Stephen Colbert is more biased. He's so conservative and is always making fun of democrats, it sucks.

daily show is on comedy central...... he tries to pick on news reporting in general, if you see he tries to get on NBC/CNN/FOX (mostly FOX) for their bias towards a certain political group. Is he more about the liberals? Sure. But thats just because its fun and easy to make fun of conservatives.

Colbert is more of a character. I have a hard time believing he believes half the stuff he says on that show.

Daily Show... yes. Biased. But that's how it is for all the news channels really.

It is biased in the sense that Jon Stewart is liberal, however I do like that he pursues stupidity wherever he sees it - be it Republican or Democrat.

also, i think the only news station that would point out stewart's "liberal agenda" is fox.

and stephen colbert is in no way conservative. his whole shtick is mocking conservative extremists.

Stewart and Colbert are obviously liberal, but bias to me suggests a level of unfairness. The shows reflect a viewpoint, but I see no unfairness in their presentations.

yes. the whole point is for the show to be biased. stewart is a liberal almost through and through although he's not blinded by the party. this is also the reason why he gives fox news so much shit. he supported obama 100% (except for his occasional ron paul lines)

its the same thing on colbert, except his faux liberal opinion is completely sarcastic to the point where its tough to know what his real beliefs are

The Irony of Satire
Political Ideology and the Motivation to See What You Want to See in The Colbert Report

This study investigated biased message processing of political satire in The Colbert Report and the influence of political ideology on perceptions of Stephen Colbert. Results indicate that political ideology influences biased processing of ambiguous political messages and source in late-night comedy. Using data from an experiment (N = 332), we found that individual-level political ideology significantly predicted perceptions of Colbert's political ideology. Additionally, there was no significant difference between the groups in thinking Colbert was funny, but conservatives were more likely to report that Colbert only pretends to be joking and genuinely meant what he said while liberals were more likely to report that Colbert used satire and was not serious when offering political statements. Conservatism also significantly predicted perceptions that Colbert disliked liberalism. Finally, a post hoc analysis revealed that perceptions of Colbert's political opinions fully mediated the relationship between political ideology and individual-level opinion.

I think some people think that the way Colbert is on the colbert report is who he is in real life. For example, in real life he is a democrat. On the show he claims to be independent even though he often times praises the republican agenda.
This video is kind of an interesting watch. He sort of breaks and explains his "character" on the show.

Jon Stewart is a biased liberal Jew who is a very dangerous person. He should be arrrested and charged under the Patriot Act for Un American activities.
