Where does he play next year? He is thinking about staying another year.

USC, if I was him, there is no way in hell I would put my NFL future in the hands of the Houston Texans.

yeah basically i would wait till i knew who was gonna have the first pick, and then choose whether to stay in school or not.

i agree...but if this draft happens with bush on the board, i wouldn't be at all surprised to see the texans trade out and build up that line they so desperately need. what's the point of the next gale sayers if you don't have anyone to run behind.

I agree, I see the Jets trading up to get either Leinert or Bush with the 1st pick.

I think Texans trade down to whom I'm not sure.

i'd bet leinert isn't even a first rounder after the combine

exactly, if he goes to the texans, his career is going to end before it even starts. he will be killed

Want to make a list of Heisman trophy quarterbacks that a) were subpar professionals and b) didn't go in the first round?

Let's start with Jason White...

Let's start with Jason White...

Jason White also had bad knees, didn't have any arm at all and no real physical stature or pedigree. You can't compare Leinart to White. Leinart has led one of the best college football offenses ever for the last 3 years.

and he's not the first to do so. Usually what happens is the glow from a title fades and the combines start, and the good athletes show themselves. Leinart is getting to the NFL because he's a solid leader with a good mind, but he's not an amazing athlete, and don't be surprised if that costs him money in April. A lot's going to come down to team's QB needs and who else comes out, but I don't see much from Leinart to suggest he's going to be an NFL star.

whoever says there is even a remote shot of reggie bush staying at usc is absolutely CRAZY. his stock will NEVER be higher than it is right now. i can't imagine a team that would take anybody else but him as the top pick unless they desperately need a quarterback.

and if he doesn't wanna go to the texans or anybody else, he can just demand a trade like eli manning did a couple of years ago. He will not stay at usc, that is ridiculous.

i hope he doesn't go to the texans...that's career suicide

my mom's friend gave matt leinart a blood test the other day and now i have a signed picture

Matt Leinart was projected as the #1 pick, a lock, before he stayed in school. He won't fall beyond the top 5, and will probably be #2 or #3. Arizona, New York, New Oreleans ...none of these teams will pass on him.

YEAH, i'm sure. Domanick Davis and Reggie Bush running the backfield will win them atleast 7 games by itself next year, thats how good they both are. They'd hold the ball for 45 minutes of the game and there's nothing you can do. Going to the Texans for Bush is a bad idea because Domanick Davis holds the starting job and he's playing well finally, plus the Texans have their "QB of the Future" with Carr, who isn't a bad quarterback if you give him protection so they don't need Leinart. As someone said before, I see them trading down for a few picks to build up the O-line and maybe even some defense because right now it isn't so much as about taking the player with the best value as to build a team around your future cornerstone players.

I see Bush playing for the Jets or the Packers. Although, I wouldn't be that surprised to see him stay at USC. I said before the Heisman was awarded that whomever lost between Young and Bush would stay, and the winner would move on- and i agree with that still.

Brady Quinn, Heisman in 2006!

No one wants him on the Texans, and I'm sure Reggie Bush doesn't want to be on the Texans either. He'll probably go to a big market city, such as the New York Jets or San Fran. I'd love to see him as a Packer personally, but that won't happen.

I know the Texans will trade down their pick. They'll get a ton of shit out of it too. Reggie Bush = God.

I don't really think that Bush is the kind of kid who is going to be a dick about who picks him. from all the interviews he seems like has a head on his shoulders.

but yes the texans will trade down their pick I think. I'd even imagine a 3 or 4 team trade up and give them either another 1st that they traded for or both 2nd and 3rd and the texans pick up D'Brickshaw Ferguson, Lendale White, and some defensive guys.

Oh yeah I know. He's an awesome guy and an awesome football player. That's what makes him god, haha. But still, I don't think anyone would want to be with the Texans. And yeah, if I were the Texans, I would trade down. They would get a lot out of it.

Money Talks. And being a building block and basically to be known as the start of an entire franchise like a Johnny Unitas I think that talks.

bush will go pro, he's proven everything he needs to prove, the texans will probably take him seeing as though they seem to be throwing games to get the no. 1 pick. that niners-texans game will be interesting it'll be like that episode of south park where the kids are trying to throw the games because they don't want to play little league anymore.

matt leinart will go top 5. he's too good. he was projected no. 1 pick last year with a bad shoulder/elbow. he's the next tom brady, except this time around, people will realize that and not wait 6 rounds to pick him. if you're saying he won't be a good pro, just look at carson palmer as an example.

lendale white probably isn't going pro, and if he does, he sure as hell isn't going to be the 3rd pick in the draft.

i'm pretty sure he backed up Drew Henson I could be wrong though.

You know who may turn out to be pretty good? Matt Cassel the guy behind Brady now who backed up Leinart and Palmer

Actually Brady played much of the season of 1999 and 1998 seasons. we were both wrong. Henson was the backup until his senior year.

so would my brother. The Texans have been close to winning recently, the niners on the other hand, well.
