Manchester Orchestra's Mean Everything to Nothing or As Cities Burn's Hell or High Water?

I am amazed by both albums but cannot decide which one is better.
What do you think? Explain why

Right now ACB but it is close. I love both. Each are big albums from their respective artists.

i went with MO because as much as i love ACB and their new record, it feels sort of just like left over material they didn't want to go to waste, whereas MO's new record feels like more time was spent writing and recording it, I also prefer the flow to METN more then HOHW.

Both are in heavy rotation right now, but I think METN is more cohesive.

I'm really digging Mean Everything To Nothing ATM, but once I get around to buying Hell Or High Water, that could most certainly change.

Mean Everything to Nothing has some great songs. I'm not feeling Hell or High Water that much though.

I'm really digging METN right now so that's my vote. I'm listening to HOHW for the 2nd time and I'm just extremely bored with it. Manchester begs to be played again and ACB is putting me to sleep. Maybe I just need to give it more time?

Yeah just give HOHW some time. I listened to it right after buying it and expected some hard-hitting songs somewhere in the album and was very disappointed to hear how mellow it was. BUT I listened to it more and fell in love with it. "Made Too Pretty" and Lady Blue" were the first two to really jump out to me but that whole album is so awesome. Let it grow on you

I eeny-miny-moe'd my vote and landed on Manchester Orchestra

I'm still undecided. I listen to "I've Got Friends" by MO and think, 'this is the best album ever' but then I listen to "Lady Blue" by ACB and it gives me goose bumps of amazement . I can't choose!

I like METN. I streamed a few songs from ACB, I'm just not as into it.

Hell or High Water is a fantastic album. Mean Everything to Nothing is a win for me though, it just rocks so much i don't see myself getting sick of it.

More of an acoustic taste in regards to Andy Hull.

I can respect that.

RAGC is amazing.

I am really enjoying HOHW, but Manchester Orchestra really cannot be beat at this point (despite what Pitchfork says).

I bought both, and i just was not impressed by As Cities Burn at all, it just seemed awkward. The MO album is good though

Mean Everything To Nothing, Brother's Blood, and It's All Crazy, It's All False, It's All A Dream! It's Alright are the best albums I have heard this year so far.

Hell or High Water didn't do much for me. It wasn't bad, just didn't catch my attention like METN.
