I'm not sure how to feel about it. It doesn't piss me off, but it doesn't get me very excited either. But then, I was never a big Predator fan anyway.

reboot. not remake.
The difference being that with a reboot, they're already intending for there to be sequels.

I never really liked Predator. Predator II was okay because of how disgusting it was. Plus it had Danny Glover in it running around.

reboot. not remake.
Reboot is just another way of saying remake. They're taking the same story and redoing it just to make a quick buck off the fans of the original. I'm really getting tired of these half assed Hollywood fucktards taking these cult movies like Predator, Nightmare on Elm Street, Last House On The Left, Friday The 13th, etc., and saying they're going to "reboot" them when they're fucking fine the way they are. No remake or "reboot" of Predator is going to be good, even if Robert Rodriquez is directing it. It most likely is going to be some overblown CGI filled piece of shit staring Zac Efron and Shia LaBeouf. I'm honestly going to laugh my fucking ass off when this movie comes out and all the people in this thread who is getting hard-on from the news of this is going to flood the thread for this movie and just bitch about how much it sucked and then I can say I told you so.

Haha enlightened , not enlighten, way to be a smart ass and not use proper grammar. Also, any point you make is invalid, because you've made it clear in this thread that the only thing you care about if they make it super gory, so whatever you say kid.

What? What about Hulk? They completely ignored everything from the first movie. But I agree with you on the whole remaking cult horror movies thing though. I can't wait to see how bad the horror movies theyre gonna "reboot" suck. There are some I'm kinda intrigued about though like the rebooting of Child's Play and Mortal Kombat but I'm SUPER excited for the reboot of It(with an R-rating:thumbup:).

I agree with Darko in that a reboot technically is a remake, cause a remake doesn't necessarily have to mean they redid the same exact plot step by step just with modern tech, obviously alterations are acceptable, so it technically is a reboot no matter what happens.
I don't feel Hulk ignored everything from the first movie anyway, obviously Banner had been on the run for a while when the movie opened. You're just supposed to accept more or less that the events of the first movie had no bearing on the plot of the second beyond where Banner is at that point in time.
Child's Play is one of my guilty pleasure horror likes, so I'm a little leery about the idea of them rebooting it cause if they do it straight up, it will suck. There is no way Chucky could ever be scary. Only way I think it would work is if they balance it with comedy like Bride or if they put a twist on the concept like 3, where they followed the first kid into the army.
It should be a miniseries on HBO or something and that's it, that's the only way it will be done justice.
Looking on Wik, Mortal Kombat has been in development hell for a decade, which is where it should stay.

So they're trying some awesome action movie and the the two biggest stars in the film are Adrien Brody and Topher Grace? How can they ever live up to this?
