euthanasia

so yeah, i'm currently doing a research paper on euthanasia and i thought it'd be interesting to hear some other people's opinions.

basically in a nutshell, although it goes against most religions and moralist beliefs, i think we should allow the practiec of euthanasia. that's not to say that euthanasia shouldnt be restricted with regulations and laws. ex: the only type of euthanasia that should be permitted is voluntary, someone shouldnt have the choice to choose another's life unless it's their own. and of course, the patient has to be suffering a terminally ill or incurable condition, because it well only end their suffering and despair right?

okay but seriously. i did a term paper on this every year. i probably still have one of em somewhere.

my stand on it was partially for it. medical bills can pile up on some families. if the patient requests to be euthanized, then so be it. it will end their pain and kinda help out their family financially.

that's all i remember from the papers i wrote. if i find any of em, i'll post em.

I'm for it. If someone's suffering really badly, or they have a terminal illness and would put a lot of strain on their family financially, then they have the right to request it.

This is the very epitome of a slippery slop...........there is just so much room for abuse and misuse that I can’t see the justification for government condoned suicide.

I think that people should have the right to do what they want with their own bodies. The State should have no say in how I treat my body as long as it is not harming others (and I don't mean emotionally).
