(We only put the reasonably good ones)

well, i was leaving it to the first four studio albums. if we included remains and S/T, people would want to include the splits, 7", etc.
just the four big albums for them
i like the other two alot, but these are the consensus 4

Leaving out the last two records and their self titled makes this poll invalid.

Says who? I'm pretty sure S/T is their best album and I'm sure others people agree with that
but its not an actual album they put out. its a compilation of 7" and splits and what not. i agree with leaving that one off, despite some of the great songs on there, but i think crimson and agony should be in there as options because probably a fair amount of people started listening to them when those records came out. and then we can all sit here and tell them how they have to hear the other ones too.
edit: but holy shit, i absolutely cannot pick between those four.

I know it's technically not an album but I still view it as one. Imo it feels like a cohesive album and not a compilation.
i could see that, other than the other version of nose over tail. for some reason i always listened to it like i do with Remains, as just a collection of songs. like a mix tape of them or something. no real idea why that is, but i always forget about it when talking about their albums, even though it has several of my favorite songs on there.

Every Alkaline Trio record is good, imo. From Here To Infirmary is my favorite, with Good Mourning being my least favorite.

wow, way to exclude their best album.

goddamnit - the original and still the best.

that's bullshit. From Here to Infirmary is my favorite, but Crimson and Agony & Irony are both solid records. Just because it had radio singles doesn't make it a bad record.

Because I want it all, or nothing at all.

Lame.
I WOULD vote for Crimson, but now I won't vote at all.

definately mis worded this. A&I actually has the highest plays on my ipod, and crimson was prettty good too. i guess i meant to say more along the lines of the 4 classics

I chose Goddamnit, however my favorite A3 "album", if you will, is absolutely, hands down, without a doubt, their S/T.
For me it would probably go:
1. S/T (don't care if it's an "album" or not)
2. Goddamnit/ From Here to Infirmary
4. Maybe I'll Catch Fire
5. The rest...
Kinda stopped listening to them after FHTI. Didn't like the album after it (Crimson I think), and was too disappointed to listen to much after it.

Yeah, I couldn't remember which came right after FHTI. I forgot about Good Mourning. I remember not liking that one when I heard the bells tolling in one of the songs...I may have been the single. It just seemed overproduced.
Oh, and the more I think about it, one of the main reasons A3 lost it attraction to me is because Skiba strained his voice or something and was forced to sing in a way that just didn't have the fire it once did. Not that it's his fault; I just didn't care for the band as much after that.

yeah their sound isnt as raw as it used to be. which is why i think i prefer the older albums more than the newer ones.

Very surprised by the results. Goddamnit! remains their best record even though the others listed are all good. From Here to Infirmary isn't even my third or fourth favorite. I'd list Remains before I would that one. Or Self-Titled.
