View Full Version : Your Favorite College Football Player Ever

This doesn't automatically have to be a guy who did great in the NFL, but a guy you just loved in college football.

For me I have a couple.

Andy Katzenmoyer from Ohio State- Because he was just an absolute fucking nut job. I remember I had his Patriot's jersey.

Jake Plummer from Arizona State- Ever see the Fiesta game I think when they played Ohio State. TO me that was the best football game I've ever watched. Plummer was nasty he was that entire Arizona State team.

Eddie George from Ohio State- Was just absolutely Nasty with Bobby Hoying and David Boston. Probably my favorite Trio in College History.

Ron Dayne Wisconsin- He won the Heisman and led Wisconsin to back to back Rose Bowl victories, something never done before. I loved that guy when he was wearing the red and white.

Steroids usually takes away your charisma and just makes you crazier. Katzenmoyer didn't say anything he was just fucking crazy. A reporter asked the best way to describe his game and he said Bloodthirsty that he wanted his opponents to bleed. THats fucking crazy folks.

Now he's a damn good WR.

You know who I think is gonna be dirty? Matt Jones the former QB at Arkansas who is a WR with the Jaguars. He's built like a tight end but runs like a sub 4.4 40

He was a pretty big nutjob.

I don't think Katzenmoyer could start on this current Buckeye LB core.

Did he not have a strong enough arm to be a QB in the NFL? I always wondered why no one at least gave him a shot at QB full time.

I don't know he won the Lombardi trophy I think. He was considered the best defensive player in College Football at the time. He just hurt his neck and couldnt play anymore really. Imagine all those crazy white guys back there? Hawk, Carpenter, Katzenmoyer, and Schlegel?

yeah it'd be one hell of a crazy 3-4 defense to run. But i still think Hawk and Carpenter are better than Katzenmoyer.

I also want to say T.J. Duckett, because he's a hometown boy, so that doesn't really count. But still.

im honestly not too sure. occasionally youll see players that make that change. at least he didnt flop like eric crouch or whatever dudes name was:)

and yeah i think matt jones will be tough too...he's T A L L.

Eric Crouch didn't flop, he never suited up. He wanted to play QB but the Rams said they'd move him to WR and he didn't like the idea, so he didn't. Which I give him credit for believing in his abilities enough to take a stand about it.

I would have taken the signing bonus and ran.

I'm pretty sure, i'd have to look it up, but it was a nice three man tandom.

And before (maybe the same time?) Charles Rogers, it was Plaxico Burress.

Crouch didn't work out because he was so short and had no arm at all and wasn't willing to try to change positions AT ALL.

yeah i know. and that's why i consider him a flop. if youre not willing to play the game you supposedly love, or at least TRY...you dont have the heart. therefore he's a flop in my book.

Good call (on all accounts). I'm a huge Nole fan also...but I think my favorite player was Dan Kendra. What a crazy asshole! Remember when he blew his finger halfway off with homemade fireworks? Or when all of the blood vessels in his eyes bursted while he was on the legpress machine? He was drafted as a FB by the Raiders, but he ended up joining the Navy and the last thing I heard he was trying to become a Seal.
