It's finally nice out where I live...I need some more "summer" music though. And for me, I love powerpopish stuff like Mercy Mercedes. Especially their demo song "Drop Top". Anyone have any recommendations of stuff that's similar?

Listen to Drop Top here:

Thanks!

Great power-pop summer tunes.
They're recording their debut this summer, so you can check the myspace for new songs and demos and the like. They have an EP out, too.

And hey, if you like it, could you become a fan of the band on ap.net? Just put this link (http://www.absolutepunk.net/artists/misc.php?do=addfav&l=4280) in your address bar, and it'll automatically do it. That'd be rad!

This band released one thing on iTunes but never seemed to get big around here

Also try Hit the Lights and Arden (www.purevolume.com/arden)

They're good. They're from my city.
I met them a few years ago when they played in a mall for a Spring Break concert series thing.
But the lead singer has become soooo stuck up since they've gotten big.
He walks around with this smug look on his face. I don't know, maybe it's just me.
They're still decent though, worth checking out.
