mtv jammed/nfg secret show

the post earlier about nfg giving out 400 free tickets to a "video-shoot" at vans skatepark in orange, ca turned out to be a mtv jammed show. the stage was setup, nfg was rocking out, 400 people jumping up and down with hands up, and there was a drape thing behidn the stage. all of a sudden, the drape drops and tony hawk, bucky lasek, andy mcdonald, matt hoffman and a couple more pros were on the half pipe . it was insane

overall, nfg was pretty good live. everybody was into it. i lost my shoe while crowd surfing. oh well.

Yeah NFG rocked. I just thought it was lame that MTV made them play Head On Collision THREE times. The first time everyone went off, but by the third time there was hardly any movement in the crowd. My other big complaint...that stupid boom camera set up right in the middle of the freakin pit, just stupid. During the last two songs (Glory of Love and Better Off Dead) they finally moved that thing out of there and we got a good little mosh pit going. Oh well, free show, can't complain. I had a good time.

fucking yeah, i went. Tony Hawk and Bucky Lasek and Mat Hoffman being there made me super stoked. the show as cool. i got Chad and Cyrus to autograph my Charlie Brown Wristband. the thing that sucked was that we were one of the last ones lining up to go in and then when we got to the front my friend got shit from the lady there so we had to wait for him while everyone was crowding up to get in. Being one of the last ones in they made us stand to the side on top of a ramp stage height. i wanted to be in the crowd, i'm so envious of all the people down there, in the crowd. that sucked ass and it seemed like we werent getting any love from anyone, like the skaters and the band because we were like the uncool kids. Everyone one that platform with us were just standing there bobbing their heads, occasionally singing along and me and one of my friends were like the only ones jumping and shouting along. i wish i was in the pit. Just for shits and giggles any of you guys see me there. i had a blue RUFiO Toaster shirt on, black dickies, thick rimmed glasses, and medium length spikes. as well as a new found glory wristband on my forearm...

well, it was a freeshow and it did kick ass!

Yeah MTV has this thing with getting everything just perfect. They did the same thing with Sum 41 down in San Diego at the Superbowl Tailgate Party thing...made them play every song twice. It just goes to show how fake TV really is.

MTV is fake. I was in SD last spring break for this Blink 182 countdown thingie and when it aired MTV said it was live from Sprin BReak in Cancun Mexico. Too bad it was a shit ass cold day in San Diego!

i remember that show. and they only showed all of "Still Waiting" and half of "the hell song" ... thats weak

It hasn't aired yet. In the near future it will be on MTV2, but not MTV.

I went there and they didnt control it much, except when Tony Hawk was playing director. then again there was this huge camera right in the crowd. but it was cool!

ok the show sucked . but believe me . it was a rad live show . and they rarely controlled the crowd . they yelled thru the mic to stop crowdsurfing . and right after they say that, chad drops his guitar and crowdsurfs ... but jammed makes it look like ass

its mtv . they revolved around the band and riders more . if they would have put cameras on the floor where everybody was moshing and crowdsurfing then you would have seen what was really going on .

I finally saw it yesterday. I actually saw myself in the crowd, But only because I was wearing a bright green Home Grown shirt and I am a freak and a head taller than most people in the crowd...haha.
