They weren't FOB. They were Arma Angelus.. and it wasn't all of FOB, just a few (or one) of them.

They probably sucked as a hardcore band, from their description. I'd rather be in a bland punk-pop/rock band than a shitty hardcore band, though.

Tim McIllrath, current frontman of Rise Against played guitar in Arma Angelus. They werent half bad, atleast they broke up before this wave of bad, generic screamo/hardcore/metalcore that consumes the scene today.

The article makes it seem like fall out boy are innovators of an entirely new genre. I like fall out boy, although they are tiring on me a little bit. I'm happy for them, but i dont know. I feel like the media is over praising them and overrating them.
