View Full Version : Who were you in elementary school?
What type of kid were you in Elementary school? I know this seems silly to look back on, but I always seem to look back on these days as kind of a dark period in regards to my appreciation towards humanity and life. Sure I was a sweet little jokester. But I was also a huge dick, I was the "class clown," as my parents recall. I would regularly call a kid fat just to get a reaction out of the other kids, mind you this was first grade, I've changed much since this time.
But really, who were you when you were young? How have you changed?

Elementary school seams so long ago but really it's only been two years since then for me.
I haven't really changed that much. I'm probably a more outgoing now but that's it.

That wasn't too long ago for me either, only about 4 years, but I was the wannabe. I tried so hard to be friends with the cool girls, looking back now it seems so ridiculous.

I was the one who was terrified of girls. Every time I'd get a "hello" from one, I would mumble under my breath and start sweating profusely--I got very nervous around females. Thankfully, it's a thing of the past.
I hate my former self for that, what was I thinking.

started with
"that kid who liked pokemon before everyone else"
then that evolved into "the only kid who actually likes music (classic rock and blink 182)
I got a long great with everyone, but never really fit in to a specific place. I was usually the median friend between everyone.
I was always second or third last in the rows of kids tallest to shortest, but now I'm average for being 18 and in college. However, for some reason, everyone in my family are late bloomers, like my brother was about 5'7" until he hit 20/21, then he went up to 6'1." So I still like the idea that one day I'm going to run into all my old friends and be taller than them.

I think I was a teachers pet in the classroom but then out on the playground I was the little stunt man. I was always jumping off of the playground sets doing flips, walking on top of the tubes you crawl through, crawling on top of the monkey bars, etc. Then I'd always get yelled at and have to stay by the wall the rest of recess.
If I went to that playground again today, I know I wouldn't have the balls to jump off things and do flips and shit.

I was the annoying-ass "smart kid."
Me too, but not really annoying..
I didnt really talk all that much unless you spoke to me first (with friends included)
I was the go to- kid. Everyone always asked me for answers or wanted to know what random shit was...
I most likely knew because of my reading habit.
I was the quiet "sick kid." I always sat on the sidelines while the rest of the kids were in PE.

i was really popular in elementary school actually. i had a boyfriend when i was in the 2nd and 3rd grade when i was with him and he was in the grade above. we used to go to cotillion together and dance with only each other. we were really cute and super innocent. of course a few years ago i decided to see if i could find him on myspace to see what he was up to all these years later and surprise, surprise, he's now gay. :-( apparently i started turning boys gay at a very young age. Anyway, I never was as popular as I was back in elementary school. I guess I peaked early.

I was the funny fat kid. I got good grades, was decent at sports but never really loved them and got along with everybody and had lots of friends. The last part pretty much changed as I went to high school.

Same, except for the turning guys gay part. I was like Mr. Popular in Elementary school, things slowly began to change in Middle school. It was for the best though, I have some awesome friends, and I really dislike the popular kids nowadays. Just a bunch of Ho's and Bro's.

Smart kid (still am but not like a nerd lol), friends with all the other smart kids (everyone's so different now, wow), we all coordinated to fcuk around as much as possible with all the teachers, they got pissed off, kicked us outside of the class often, where we would mess around and have to write letters to our parents who really didn't give a shit as long as we brought home good grades hahahaha.
Everyone's still smart now I guess, but a lot of my friends moved away and went to different schools and whatnot and everyone has changed a lot. People are less... one dimensional now I guess. In elementary school, most kids are just like one thing sometimes. By the time you get around to high school, people have a lot more sides to them. I like it better that way though.
i was just one of those average kids. not popular, but not hated. not cool, but not nerdy. just average. thinking about it, i havnt changed much

the one everyone hated, because I had mental health problems because I was abused and my bestie had gone off to a crazy home for kids, people took advantage of the fact I was some scared little kid and used it against me and made fun of me a lot. Pariah, scapegoat, whatever you want to call it.
I'm pretty much the same except for I dont take it personally, I hang out with the druggies and people who either graduated from college or are now in it, and they dont hold my problems against me.

I'm really glad that wore off.
Now that I remember, I was called weird a lot. Which hurt me at the time, thankfully I've somewhat grown out of that phase, for the most part. I'm pretty sure little kids calling me weird was their way of calling me funny... I think...

Um, I liked cats... I wore shirts with cat designs and read books in which the protagonists were cats. I was very quiet but somehow made a lot of friends. I was a smart kid in a school that catered to the spawn of morons, so I got bored pretty easily and did stupid things just for the hell of it.
I was just a very awkward little one.

I was the one who was terrified of girls. Every time I'd get a "hello" from one, I would mumble under my breath and start sweating profusely--I got very nervous around females. Thankfully, it's a thing of the past.
I hate my former self for that, what was I thinking.

I was that one kid in class that couldn't ever sit still or pay attention. Recess was my favorite subject and staring out the window to daydream was the best classwork. I always made my classmates laugh and the made my teachers eat massive amounts of Excedrin.

I was the quiet/shy girl that always hung out with the boys because they were easier to talk to and were always doing something more fun than playing Chinese jump rope. I haven't changed much since then because guys still are easier to talk to and are still doing more fun and exciting things like pwning n00bz on video games or playing tackle football instead talking about how many pairs of shoes they have in their closet or the next dress they are gonna buy. In 1st Grade and Kindergarten I was a bully. I was so bored with classes and being in a Catholic School was hard on me. Now I feel kind of bad about it though. Apparently, when I changed schools someone from my old school didn't switch to my new school because one of my friends told him I went there.
After they put me in 2nd grade classes it got a bit better, but I still needed something a bit more exciting. After that I just clowned.

This sounds a little like me too. I never had a letter home, and I didn't really know what sex was, but I sure knew what private parts were. And, I had a crush on some cute 1st grade girl... ahh those were the days.

I was the kid who tried to be extra smart. I actually went to the library and took out 700-page algebra books when I was in 4th grade to teach myself algebra. Then once I got to middle school something happened called puberty and I stopped caring. And then in high school I cared even less. And in college I didn't really care at all. And somehow I still managed to get A's all the way through.

i was the fat kid. kinda. i was technically a "husky" kid. i was always taller and bigger than the other kids, but i wasn't really "fat" at any point along the way. yeah, i got called fat, but i was a pretty solid kid. just got a big build.
i was also insanely smart in elementary school to the point where they wanted to skip me up a grade or two, but i wanted to stay with my friends so it never happened.

I was a pretty awesome little kid.
I went to the school nurse a lot. By second or third grade I figured out that I could get out of class by going to the nurse. I'd say I had a stomach ache, head ache, or I felt dizzy, and I'd get to lay down for a while.
In first grade I had a pair if awesome pink high tops.
My best friend in elementary is the same kid who was my best friend in pre-school, middle school, and high school. He's still my best friend despite the fact we're 699 miles apart for college.
