OK, so the title actually has nothing to do with the actual song so I'm in the process of making it a tad more relevant... Anyway I've been working hard on getting my thoughts to come across cohesively and to not jump between different subjects within a song, so hopefully this works:

Only quitters die,
and I've always been stubborn,
But I have to admit -
First thing on my bucket list:
"Get a new bucket."
Street lights were always the lure,
This small-town-fever aint easy to cure,
But to woo Uncle Sam
I've got to lose my demure.

CHORUS
Finding inspiration in the unlikliest of corners
My youth may be dying
But I've never been a mourner.
Music is my therapist,
So I can't "turn it down a notch"
This phase is called:
Keeping it Real With My Fake Diamond Watch.

It's a risk - but my dice is loaded:
An arsenal of ideas
(some which Barack might like to hear).
A man once said:
"The party starts in your chest"
When I think of Chicago -
There's a riot at best.
The grass is greener on the other side,
But New Zealand's pretty green,
So this confuses my mind.
I'll put in my earphones
But to stand and perform is how I'm inclined.

CHORUS

Problems seem so small when you look at the stars
So I'm buying a telescope to stare at Mars.

CHORUS x2

In my mind everything's related and relevant throughout the whole song, but I'm keen to get some feedback about what you guys think :-)

I've decided to change the name. The more I see it the more pathetic it sounds. To what will I change it? I do not know.
