yo, i highly recommend listening all the way to the end of the podcast. Tom lets one of his fav up&coming bands, Years Around The Sun, play some tracks. They're from San Diego and they sound like Blink 2.0. More complex chord progressions and melodies, but the same basic blink sound of awesome riffing over bass.

I kind of wish that this whole breakup is a hoax and Years Around The Sun is the new blink.

Your really not missing much. It's basically just a one on one with tom and the other band members. It's kind of interesting, but I think I'll appreciate it more after they play this music. They all seem to be feeling the same thing though when the describe it, so I thought that was pretty cool and it's not going to be like box car...supposely..we'll see.

I love how 85% of people on ap.net judged the fuck out of him when he first announced A&A, and now that he's actually showing potential everyone takes their tale, tucks in between their legs and licks his ass once again.

Obviously AAA will not live up to the hype, because the hype is unreachable. This has been hyped beyond reach but its going to be huge because Tom does nothing but tease us with it. The podcast gave us some good insight about what the other members of the band felt about this project. But no music.

Its like that episode of South Park where Cartman doesnt let anyone into his amusement park. And then when he opens it, like a million people want in.

I really dug that, Tom and all the other guys sound great and the fact that they're all so confident in what they've got, in who they are, and in what they want to be puts them in a much stronger position than most new bands at this stage.

I dunno, I like this interview. It's honest and it gives you the opportunity to get to know the rest of the band. I'm tired of morons referring to this whole thing as the Tom Delonge and friends band. No. It's Angels and Airwaves. ITS A NEW BAND. So yea, the other members are gonna talk in the podcast. They're just as important. Tom is the front man and probably the most well known, but its not like hes the whole band. Blink is gone get the fuck used to it, I did. SO I think this interview is a great opportunity to get to know them and their personalities. For me, that helps me get closer to a band and connect with them.

Same with people turning this into a competition with Plus 44. I know I'm going to love both of these guys based on my undying love for everything else they've done. I understand impatience, but c'mon. And if you're really pissed off and say you're not impressed and that you don't give a shit, why do you need to say it over and over again? I'm sick of reading every Angels and Airwaves post and seeing the same like 10 replies of people saying "Don't care" or "They're gonna suck". It's not gonna change anyone's opinion of you by trying to be the diamond in the rough and automatically hating them. You aren't saying anything new.

I'm excited that Tom, David, Atom and Ryan are excited. And I'm confident they're gonna rock without hearing a full song because I think about the feelings their old music used to elicit within me. So whatever. Haters, keep hating but know that it's based off of a 30 second clip and that nobody is impressed with your million posts about how Tom is an asshole. I mean keep doing it. Go ahead, but you're not accomplishing anything.

tom's not cocky... there's definitely a difference between cocky and extremely confident/excited about the new material. think of his personality and intertwine that with his excitement and its going to sound cocky, but it's just confidence and hyping up the release.
