if iverson was 6'5" he would have been better than MJ, but he is not. they have a similar ability to take over the game. MJ always had a better supporting class, but it has become clearer that atleast on chicago, he made those players better.
iverson is the best pg gone to sg back to pg. size for size he is one of the best players to ever play the game.

i've watched a thousand sixers games throughout AI's career...and he's not the greatest guard to every play, that's an easy call. but it is nice to see he's starting to get early recognition as one of the greatest ever and by the end of his career could arguably be top 3-5 to ever play the game. His knock is always going to be shooting percentage, but for every time that argument comes, there are 5 more regarding his toughness, leadership, and straight up jaw dropping ability to back it off. take AI out of Philly the past 7 years and they would have been worse than the clippers.

your teammates need a little bit of talent to prove they can win. also look at who they usually play in the playoffs...the pistons or the pacers - 2 teams that have dominated the eastern conference for the last few years.

to be honest, the sixers have done an awful job of filling the spots around him. the one year he had a semi-adequate big man, he went to the finals and gave the lakers their only loss in the playoffs. when you look at that finals, the sixers were somehow in every one of those games. he gets them into the playoffs pretty consistantly year after year, he's just never had enough aside from one year to make a legit run at the playoffs. even mj had some help.

They are inexperienced besides Duncan, and it seems as though no one on that team could hit an 15 foot jumper the entire stint. They need defense and shooters who don't get rattled easily.

you can't fault the team for winning in a bad conference...and right now, the AI is the only reason they're 12-12. the team can't rebound for shit and they just don't look cohesive yet.

the awful thing is, a sane artest would be a perfect fit for the team. they need that defense so bad...but if it took iverson 8 years of asking to be on the team before they let him on because he didn't look classy enough, i expect it would take artest about 3000 years, with good behavior.

Exactly, if he wouldnt get selfish offensively it would be great. We need him and a quick and good on the ball defender to guard the likes of Arroyo and Ginobli (Maybe Chauncy Billups) and a shooter in the two spot (Michael Redd, Ray Allen, or whoever) and throw in Duncan and perhaps Garnett in the 4 and 5 spots and we shouldnt be touched if we played good team ball.

allen iverson will never win an nba championship. he's been hard to coach throughout his nba career. he's had problems with nearly every one of his coaches since he came into the leauge. there's not too many people in the leauge who want to be on the same team with him either. webber's even complained about him. i think iverson is a good player. and he'll be in the HOF. but he'll never be a top five all time guard i dont think. too many great guards, with greater accomplishments have played this game.

iverson wont. kobe had shaq. shaq WAS the lakers. look at the lakers now...the kobe comparisons to mj can stop. it's obvious that kobe cant lead a team successfully.
unless iverson gets players around him, that know how to win, he wont win one. he's not good enough to get a team there by himself. he has to have components along with him. and until other players want to go to philly to play with him...or he leaves...he wont win one.

i still dont see how tmac is more complete player then iverson, all tmac has for height. iverson is a better scorer, harder to stop, better defender, and a lot more assist.
consistancy has something to do with how good you are. sure wade has had a great few seasons yet iverson is a better player right now then wade. iverson has proven himself going into his 10th year while wade has had 3 seasons, 2 with shaq so wade wasnt even the number one emphasis on the the defense to stop, while iverson always has been. so to say wade is one of the top 20 guards ever to play only after three seasons is something u can't really say, iverson is arguably, in my opinion too, the hardest guard to stop one on one in the nba and the best player for his size ever to play

tmac can score, he gets assists and rebounds. and he's a pretty damn good defensive player. he's more well rounded than iverson. and up until this season, was a more durable player.
im not saying wade is in the top 20...im just saying RIGHT NOW in the nba, that wade is better. in his first seaosn he didnt have shaq and his team started out 0-7, and what looked to be a horrible year in miami. he took over the team after that 0-7 start...and led them to eastern conference semis, where they eventually lost to the pacers. but he lead that team in the playoffs...as a rookie. he's got better leadership than iverson, and like tmac, he's a more complete player than iverson.
and honestly, everyone will ate on me for this...but i do think wade is...and will be a better player than iverson. iverson had all the components he needed in his first season to do something with his team. him, stackhouse, coleman, weatherspoon...a more impressive lineup than what d wade had...and they had 22 wins.
wade was a proven leader at the end of his first nba season...it took iverson awhile. iversons been great player...but i think he gets way too much credit.

sure tmac can score and do all that but iverson does it better maybe besides rebounding cuz he is 9 inches smaller, i still do not see how tmac is more well rounded i can name a lot more areas where iverson is better then tmac and i wouldnt question iverson's durablity because he is the toughest player in the nba when it comes to playing with injuries. honestly caleb, iverson is a better scorer, better passer, has lead the league in steals a few times, so i dont know about this tmac is a better complete player. please tell me how you specifically think tmac is more a complete player
as for wade you said that iverson is in the top 20 guards to ever play, then said wade is better so i just assumed you meant that wade would be in the top 20 too. yes i agree wade had a great rookie season. lets take a look at this years teams. wade's heat without shaq 9-9. even without shaq that heat team has more talent then the sixers. iverson is the heart and sole of the sixers. iverson's leadership i think is displayed on the court how he will play through anything to try and win. obviously this is a matter of opinion but i think wade still has a lot to prove to be better then iverson. he is gonna have to give me more then just 3 seasons for me to say that with the career iverson has had

to me, iverson is...and always will be over-rated. he's done nothing to prove to me that he has what it takes to win, other than one season going to the finals...
i dont think he's a better scorer than tmac. iverson is always fouled, and always gets trips to the free throw line where alot of his points are scored in his big games. all of what you are saying is hear say to me...and it's your opinion. iverson is over-rated in MY opinion...and he's yet to prove much to me, except that he can score...and be a bitch to coach.
i dont think the heat are better than the sixers without shaq. i just dont think iverson can lead a team. iverson has a damn good team this year...and they probably wont get out of the first round of the playoffs.
why are you even defending iverson? he's a bitch...and he's overrated.

also, wade, in my opinion out performed iverson in the heat's win the other night...and he LEAD his team to victory over iverson's.

one last thing...iverson takes so many, wild and quick shots...that team has never been able to find a pattern for their offense.

well part of being a great scorer is getting to the line so i wouldn't hold that against iverson. great scorers find a way to score whether its from the line or not.In the same argument tmac hasnt proven anything and wade hasnt yet either.yes he has made the conference finals so has iverson. i am defending iverson because i really respect the way he plays. i love how iverson plays through anything and really cares about being on the court and trying to win, at least iverson can stick with the team that drafted him through the thick and the thin...i cant say the same about tmac

he might have so, but you can't base who is a better player on one game

haha i hate iverson as much as you hate tmac then.
he's a selfish player. and he needs to learn to not shoot so much. if he was pass first, then shoot...he'd be a better player, and maybe his team would be better. he needs to get everyone involved...and not make it the iverson show over and over. the sixers have been through four coaches...in THREE years...and iverson hasnt got along with any of them. making him a bitch to coach.
for somethingyellow. i took a list of the top five players in the nba right now from an article from fox sports...
1. duncan
2. shaq
3. garnett
4. kobe
5. wade
iverson and tmac were sixth and seventh respectively. i know im not the only one who thinks that's wade's a better player than iverson.
remember when iverson said he didnt need to practice? what a bitch...

you respect iverson? i'd hate to see who else you respect. get a real role model like nash.
like i said in my previous post, iverson is NOT a respectable player. this is the player who said he didnt need to practice...because it was 'just practice'. NO player that says that shouldnt get any amount of respect. last season and this season...wade was more impressive...and more clutch than iverson...if he played through 'anything' he wouldnt have missed so many games last season. iverson cares about ONE thing on the court...allen iverson.

Playing hard and playing hurt are two respectable things, he has heart (in games) but there are many things about him that outweigh those qualities.
