I remember when I was first getting into "metalcore" I loved Dear Love, but then got really really bored with it. Then Plauges came out, and I started to hate this band with all my might. I'm not sure if I can muster up the strength to listen to it, although a couple people have said it's going to be pretty decent.
Due to be absolutely horrible.

I am actually listening to it right now. I think its their best album yet. The fact that they have a track without any screaming is kind of cool

The album is all over youtube at this point, im pretty sure.
And you could have listened to it on Shockhound all this weekend, so im assuming that's where somebody must have ripped the files....
I've listened to a few of the tracks (Sassafrass, Assistant to the Reigonal Manager, Des Moines, Biggly Wiggly Style, Lord Xenu) and from what i hear, I have a feeling that Des Moines and Assistant are going to be staple tracks of the album, (Much like Dogs Can Grow Beards All Over for Dear Love; and HTML and Hey John were for Plauges). Im very happy they are putting this new album out, after listening to Plauges and Dear Love religiously (lolz) I've started to grow a little bit bored. This new album is so far heavier than anything they have written. Im a fan at this point.

May 5th has quite a few quality "heavy" releases... The Chariot, Isis, Zao... Too band TDWP will overshadow them in the popular eye.

Didn't realize these were out so soon. My computer has been out of service for the past month, so I am really out of the loop on downloading/listening to stuff. Have you listenened to those? I doubt I'll end up getting the Zao, but what does it sound like? Isis I will have to go check out now on myspace or something.

Isis is streaming on MySpace. Good stuff.
Zao has two new songs up, and they're both solid, but neither is anything special. One has a breakdown, and the other has a singalong chorus. The one song has a pretty neat sounding laugh from Dan, though.

Well... The Chariot has lots of quality screaming, feedback, and chugging. Isis has some quality epicness and sheer majesty. Zao has quality growling like an angry vampiric dog with a sore throat.

At least if you are going to defend these bands throw some music theory in on why they are fucking good, don't use terrible fucking 6th adjectives and prepositional phrases like I am going to give you a gold star for being so creative.

......Lack of breakdown-age? Have you ever listened to a TDWP song? Just because they dont scream "This is a battleground" or "Keep Running Your Mouth" before the breakdowns and cut down on the guitars doesnt mean they dont have breakdowns.

the new cd is like the other cds to me. few good songs while the whole cd sounds very similar. and for some strange reason, the clean vocals on this record don't grab my attention as they did in plagues
