Yeah. I really like them. Nice guys. I randomly bought their record one day not knowing anything about them other than their name. I don't even know how it ended up in a record shop over here in the UK... but it did. Cannot wait for their new album.

I haven't seen them, but my friends did at Scream the Prayer and said they were amazing. All the focus was on G-d the whole time, with lots of talking between songs. They are a must-see band for me, too. So pumped for the new album.

Yeah, every video I see seems like such an amazing spiritual time. I love it when metal bands take their music and really make it all about worship, so awesome.

Yeah, definitely check them out. Their big song "Blame It On The Holy Rollers" features the lead singer of Impending Doom, and if I remember right you're a fan of them. Check them for sure.

Oh, I have the album on my ipod, I just barely listen to it is what I meant. When I do listen to it, it is "Blame It On The Holy Rollers". Yep, I'm an Impending Doom fan. I even reviewed their new album ;-)

Yeah, I thought it was a well put together review. I'm not usually a fan of "deathcore" or whatever that sub-genre would be called, but it definately made me want to check it out atleast. Proxy servers are the best, I'm happy I don't need to use them anymore :-p

Definitely would not mind seeing Sleeping Giant and The Chariot together, the rest of the bands on that tour are eh. That's awesome though, so much good music coming out in a 3 month spans its ridiculous.

Plea For Purging is hilarious live, but I would only really go for Sleeping Giant.
Saw them at Cornerstone three times, and each was one of the most powerful shows I've ever attended. Nothing like it.

I did not get into the album at all until I saw them live.

new song: too much effects on his vox, too much rapping, was about to say that it wasn't as heavy as stuff on their first album but then i heard the end and it redeemed it a little bit. overall it just has a weird feel to it. it didn't slap me in my face like all of "dread champions" does

They have a sludgier feel on a lot of their tracks. More of a hardcore/sludge sound than the typical metalcore, although they do have a few breakdowns here and there.

I'm pretty bad at the genre game though, so take it with a grain of salt.

I'd say they're one of the heaviest Facedown records bands. Although I only know a few. Haha. I met this American over here in the UK and we were talking about music and he said 'do you like Facedown records?' and I said 'Yeah... some of the bands... I really like Sleeping Giant' and he was like 'woah! really?! they're really heavy' (He was surprised because I was just saying how much I liked mewithoutYou and the new As Cities Burn stuff.

Anyway, that story seems quite irrelevant now. And probably won't help you know what they sound like that much. Apologies!

When I saw them at cornerstone I don't think he wore Bears gear either of the three days, just so you know!

And for everybody asking about the quality of the music,

I have to say, although they put on a great show and their music seems pretty good, I saw them at Icthus and this has to be one of the preachiest bands I've ever seen. If that's your thing, then cool, but it was a bit oppressive for those of us that aren't exactly that religious. Of course, I was at Icthus, so that could be my own fault.

Frontman is an awesome guy though.

Yeah, I'm just saying. I thought I'd seen someone call them not preachy earlier in the thread. It was an intense show really, they're certainly passionate, it was just easily the preachiest band I've ever seen live. haha.

Yeah, it really depends on the person. If you're a Christian (as I am), then you'll absolutely love the passion these guys have for the L-rd. If not, you'll be bored with, or even offended by their "preachiness." Really, though, even if you don't agree with what they have to say, I think the honesty and passion at least deserves some respect.

You should upload it and send it to the diehards in this thread. Just saying.

I don't think I can do that...legally. Sorry :-(

Dang. Album jams. Not sure if I like it better than Dread Champs or not, but Sons Of Thunder is easily my favorite song by them now.

I was worried they were going to ditch their sludgier sounding riffs and exchange them for lame ones, but I really dig the work on the album. Very very please.

Yeah, the album as a whole definitely sounds great. I still need to get their old one.

They definitly take MUCH too long in between songs preaching. I'm fine with bands doing the whole we play in the name o Jesus Christ but they almost take it too far.

I think the only thing I don't like about Sons Of Thunder is how short it is. Otherwise it's such an excellent album.

I used to hate short albums, but I actually prefer them over longer ones now. That makes the overall album easier to digest, and it also increases the overall consistency and decreases the chances of "filler" tracks.

This band has got to be the best thing musically to happen to me all year.

One of my favorite bands this year for sure. Saw them at glass house with my friends and the show was insane. Also on a side note, one of my friends candice is dating the lead guitarist hahah

RIYL? Never heard of.

xDeathstarx, Hands, Demon Hunter... They're a metalcore band. They have elements of deathcore, nu metal, and post metal, but it's basically just a solid metalcore band. This RIYL might not be too appealing, lol, but if you like heavy music, just give them a shot.
