For these bands, some of them are probably better described as indie or hardcore bands but function with emo scenes. but basically you should enjoy them (especially if your into cursive):

At the drive in, Pretty girls make graves, drive like jehu, les savy fav, pilot to gunner, camera obscura, harriet the spy, cap'n jazz, boys life and well... if you want to find more bands like that or anything within the genres like punk, indie, math-rock, jazz, classical or electronic check out this site: www.epitonic.com its a really great source.
