Anyone catch the episode of SNL last night? I never watch this show any more, but I was in the right place at the right time. I saw the opening monologue for Jack Black and he sang the King Kong song. Anyone got a rip?

And there was a hilarious hardcore rap song about the Chronicles of Narnia. Anyone see it? Anyone got an mp3 or video of it? Probably not, but hey.

I don't know what you naysayers are talking about, but this episode was fucking hilarious. From start to finish there wasn't a sketch I didn't laugh at. One of the best ones in a while.

The Chronicles of Narnia rap was amazing, clearly written by Andy Samberg and new staff writers Jorma and Akiva. I don't know if any of you are familiar with The Lonely Island or their short "Awesometown" but it's fucking hilarious - Andy Samberg was a part of that group before SNL, and then SNL hired the other 2 guys to write for SNL as well. Check out their shorts, especially Awesometown.

Thanks Scott I'll look into that. That Andy Samberg is one funny dude. I wanna get a rip of that King Kong song by Jack Black. I was blasting the Narnia Rap song in my car today it was great. I've been listening to it a whole lot and it's still funny every time.

As great as that Narnia rap video was, I still say Bill Hader is the best of the new guys. That Pacino impression he did in the first episode was flat-out hilarious. I saw him on Conan this past week too, he's a really good impressionist.

Haha the 2 guyz video was funny. I wasn't really impressed with anything else in the Awesometown show.

I think the musical interludes when they're doing stuff, like going to the dry cleaners is sooo funny. The more and more I watch that, the better it gets.

Ok so overall, I think the show would definitely have progressed and gotten better, but I can see why it wasn't picked up. The Castaways thing was semi-funny at first, but they dragged that out too much. The show just felt kinda empty. I doubt that's the right word, but yeah. However, there were a few sketches (Just 2 Guys, The 'Bu) that had me rolling. Oh and the "outfit stealer." That was hilarious.
