I feel bad. I was reading the manga to this series long before the series really took off. I was downloading and reading chapters whenever Toriyama World released them. I was hooked. So anyway, long story short, I've finally started watching this series and I love it. I've only seen 12 or so episodes and I think I can say that this is my favorite anime series right now. I watched the last half of the last season of Kenshin...it was just bad. None of it really made any sense and made the Kenshin world totally unbelievable. I'm up to volume 22 of the manga (bought it Friday) and it's pretty good I also got the Samurai X collection for Christmas and will be watching it as soon as I'm allowed to use the tv. I've watched some episodes of Bleach today cause I had nothing better to do.

Yeah you see just like cds in Japan, dvds in Japan also cost a lot more than they would be in America. The fact that they're selling things for less than a quarter of what they would in American stores makes it look fishy.

So anyway, there's this little part sticking out of the middle of the forehead and of course it had to break on the head I like the most. All my figures are just sitting in my closet. I'll probably be cliche in saying this but Cowboy Bebop. There's a lot of western elements in it and there's not a lot of continuation in it so you could probably watch it out of order and not even notice. I would stick to adult swim shows since I don't think you would want to pay to watch anything. Just don't watch Inuyasha you'd probably give up after that...

I've been thinking about giving it another go just because I'm more familiar with the storyline this time around.

They're from Australia right? I remember they mentioned them in the Digimon manga once haha didn't expect that. I would guess their cd would eventually come out in America though. OK here it goes...Ed dies, Al brings him back, then Al gets his body back but the equivalence is that he will no longer remember the past 4 years that have passed since he lost his body...Ed however is transported beyond the gate which is really an alternate reality and he wants to find some rockey scientist believing if he travels into space he will become closer to making his way back home than if he would use alchemy....

I saw the subtitled version so hopefully they come up with something better than that for the american release of it.

Hmm lets see I forgot how long ago that episode was so I'm not sure how far back to go. Actually that was a boy who's the homunculus "Wrath" I'm assuming there's 7 of them in all. Anyway Wrath's arm was Ed's arm and his body was their teacher's son she tried to bring back from the dead. They meet another chimera named Marta who was in Greed's posse. Ed killed Greed, Marta tags along with them and becomes Al's friend. She finds out King Bradley (the fueher dude, the boss I guess) is a homunculus
and that the military are planning another massacre in Leore (the town from the beginning of the series). Bradley finds out that Marta overheard it and she runs to hide in Al's armor as always but then Bradley came and stuck a sword inside Al and she dies. During this Al was in Leore where he meets Scar again and he inscribed an alchemy circle in the town for when the miltary comes, he will sacrifice them to make his version of the Philosophers stone. Al is forced to tell the military what Marta heard so they didn't start the massacre yet. And yeah I'm missing a lot of stuff. tv.com should have good summaries.

There's 51 episodes and then the movie. The manga is still going on in Japan so it's possibe that they'll go back and make more episodes/movies

Yeah that's true. Really though it kind of keeps a series running well if there's a set number of episodes. There's plenty of American shows that should've stopped after a few seasons but they went on ahead for the money and came up with crap (Joan of Arcadia for instance). I rather have well structured episodes than crap if you know what I'm saying.

This whole episode reminded me of Phaedo by Plato. The whole reincarnation arguement was basically this episode. The soul gets reincarnated and every single time it happens the soul wheres down to the point that is not immortal and must die yada yada. But yeah it's sad Honenheim died it was a bit confusing.
