Fueled by Ramen is some good stuff. Especially Gym Class Heroes. I hated them until seeing them live..

Forgive Durden is not poppy, cares about fans, and has good lyrics, unlike October Fall.
The Academy Is.. at least falls into the same genre, but simply doesn't have as good of music as FD.
Panic! At the Disco sounds nothing like FD, seeing as they rely on synths to have a more dance music sound.
Forgive Durden can play live and has incredible/comprehendible vocals and lyrics, unlike FOB.
Worstrevenge is a douche.

I agree about The Academy Is. I can hear a little bit of that in there. I don't really hear any of the other bands you mentioned in any of their songs. The first band that came to mind while I was listening to them was Gatsby's...and that is definitely not a bad thing.

yeah its definitely a north west sound to me. they dont sound like any of those bands to me.

Good to know. I've been waiting to see a Chicago date (2 hour drive) to attend forever. Then they recently scheduled a show for my hometown. So I will be seeing them without the high gas fees in a couple weeks..
