Check out this press release regarding Atreyu:

As Atreyu nears the completion of their third album on Victory Records, they will take a short break to film a video for Her Portrait in Black, their exclusive track on the Underworld: Evolution soundtrack. Atreyu join artists like My Chemical Romance, Slipknot and Hawthorne Heights for this sequel to the hit movie Underworld, which stars Kate Beckinsale and is directed by Len Wiseman. The video will be directed by Rob Schroeder (The Postal Service, Breaking Benjamin), who teams up with cinematographer Lukas Ettlin (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, Queens of the Stone Age - Little Sister, Marilyn Manson - Personal Jesus). Performance footage of Atreyu rocking will be intercut with footage from the movie; the resulting video will match the look of the movie and feature shots from all aspects of the film. Look for it on MTV, MTV2 and Fuse in early 2006.

Meanwhile, work continues on Atreyu's new album, entitled A Deathgrip on Yesterday and produced by Josh Abraham (Velvet Revolver, Courtney Love). Expect it in stores March 28th, and the band to be blowing away audiences on the Taste of Chaos Tour from February 15th through April 15th in North America. While the finishing touches are still in the works, the band has released a track listing, in no particular rder:

1. The Theft
2. Ex's and Oh's
3. Our Sick Story (Thus Far)
4. Your Private War
5. Shameful
6. Creature
7. My Fork in the Road (Your Knife in my Back)
8. Untitled Finale
9. We Stand Up

Atreyu burst out of Orange County in 2002 with their groundbreaking Victory debut, "Suicide Notes and Butterfly Kisses", garnering praise rom Alternative Press, Metal Maniacs and Revolver. Touring with bands like the legendary Snapcase honed their set into a tight, explosion of metal and hard rock, offset by the dynamic vocal interplay of drummer Brandon Saller and singer Alex Varkatzas. The album went on to sell 225,000 copies worldwide and established the band as a force to be reckoned with.

Atreyu toured non-stop while writing their second album. "The Curse" was the result, a fully realized album of songs of rage, betrayal and the power of individual will. Produced by GGGarth at his compound in Vancouver, critics raved, with Rolling Stone calling Atreyu the "Hot New Metal Band" and Guitar One choosing them for their Top Ten Guitar Riffs of 2004. They set out on a world tour dubbed "Thick as Thieves Tour" with Unearth, Norma Jean, and Scars of Tomorrow in support - it was a unilateral success and earned them the cover of Pollstar Magazine. Warped Tour followed with Atreyu headlining the summer of 2005. "The Curse" nears 300,000 in sales on the eve of the new album's release.

A Deathgrip on Yesterday will take Atreyu to a new level, thrilling their longtime fans and opening the band up even greater success.
