Am I the only one that just does not understand all of this hype over her??
She just seems like an average woman who has a decent voice, yet the media is going absolutely nuts over her. I have probably seen her face on the front page of Yahoo and MSN 6 times in the past week.
Could someone please explain this woman to those of us who just dont get her, or maybe share your thoughts on her?

I've heard her name thrown around, seen her pictures all over the Internet, but have never heard her sing. Apparently I'm not missing out on much. They make her sound like she's the second coming or something.

It's supposed to be some sort of empowerment story. If you watch the video, everyone was scoffing at her for even trying out for the show, and then she blows them all away. Her voice didn't really move me, but it actually brought a smile to Simon's face, if you can believe that.
