Hometown: Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Genres: Screamo/Emo/Post Hardcore
Influences: The Used, Funeral For A Friend, Taking Back Sunday, A Day To Remember, Bayside.
This Year’s Confession is new Emo/Screamo/Post-Hardcore four-piece band based in Northern Ireland. Following their Single release the band successfully completed their tour of the UK and Ireland in March. The band have also sparked up interest from one of Northern Ireland’s biggest promoters Cecil Thompson having played alongside numerous larger signed bands such as Ghosts on Pegasus Bridge, The Elijah, Home Star Runner & Blast Stereos Loud.
The band started working towards an EP release at the beginning of 2008 and have successfully released their first single entitled “Meant To Be”; also releasing a video of the single (shot by Yellow Fever Productions - “Battle of the Bone”). Their single is currently being played on Radio One presenter Rory McConnell’s show and with the help of Gary Raymond of RTB Management, the single has also been played on many local UK stations. =D
