mtv and punk

I kinda have a feeling that punk is going to die out on mtv...i give it another year. It happened before when rancid was on mtv back in the 90s. What do you all think?

yeah hopefully soon it will die out but i have seen a bunch of bands new found, the ataris, gc, midtown does the opening for the battle of the sexes and i am sure there is more to come if there isn't already more now.

its not played a lot on mtv. only the used, the ataris, nfg, good charlotte really get on mtv a lot.
but brand new, tbs, finch, snapcase, thursday, midtown, thrice are all on mtv2 a lot. even the beautiful mistake and further seems forever have been on mtv2 rock.

and the early november, the starting line, and the movie life all have commercials that are played a lot on mtv2.
