Question for acoustic guitar players

i just bought an acoustic to mess around on. it came with one of those straps with the string, but i dont get how im actually supposed to stand up and play with it. someone help me out.

thanks, i figured that tho. i meant like what do i do with the string? does it go around my wrist? cause that seems really awkward.

you stick the string thru the little hole in the strap, then tie it around the headstock, kinda hard to explain, but easy to figure out

ok so i got a acoustic a while ago.. it came with a strap but i have NOOO clue how to put it on???.. i kno theres like a hook thing at the bottom... but wheres it go at the top??.... i gave up trying a while ago.. but im still wondering... maybe my guitar is just defective
