I got bored and decided to do a story so far synopsis. I know most of you could care less about what I'm writing and that's cool. One things for certain, I don't deserve as much praise as I get.

I: Diary of a Backwards Marathoner

This part is all a flashback... when Marathoner says "Listen up honey, and listen well" he's talking to Josaphine Electra. He tells Josaphine in the time frame of somewhere between part 4 and 5. This is what drives Josaphine mad. In this part an unknown male figure instructs Marathoner in the killing of Grenadier's father (hint!). The "my dear friends, it seems this is how your nightmare ends" is Marathoner telling Josaphine that her and Grenadier's problems are over since the root of their agony is dead.

II: Grenadier

Most of this is self-explanitory, it's Grenadier in a war and his hate for his father brewing. The "camera, lights, action..." segment is Grenadier's mind telling him that he's going to be welcomed a hero when he goes back home but at the same time is setting a shitty example for the next generation. When it says "from birth we had him marked down" is him remembering that it was his father that exploited him and made him fight. When he says "my love" he's referring to Josaphine and trying to cnvince her that she's wrong in believing in people and their false causes. "I remember when it was my father's final hour..." is him being delusional... he never saw his father die nor does he know how or when. The "don't you ever lie to me (again)" is him telling his dead father and himself that his life has been based on lies and pain.

III: The Marathoner and the Grenadier

The first half is simple. Super-poppy and Marathoner is excited to see his old friend again... too bad he went crazy. When he says "I heard how he died" he's referring to Grenadier's father since he killed him so of course he knows. "I kept it straight for her..." the her is Josaphine. Josaphine is a manipulative and cheating bitch. Originally she was with Marathoner and then she started cheating with Grenadier. The sad part is that Grenadier knows that she's cheating with him on his best friend. The "oh-woah oh" part is forshadowing... not really part of the song. The next "half" is from Grenadier's viewpoint. At the beginning he's calling to God... he's heard how much martyrs are loved by his family. The rest of that verse is him talking about his epiphany, for example the "I wish you could know..." is him telling Marathoner that everything is a hoax. The next part "The limbs of the forlorn..." is NOT Marathoner talking, instead its Grenadier's mind. This holds a religious meaning to me. It's about how the martyrs go to heaven instantly after their deaths (in Islam at least). So it means: The dead will not be forgotte, God will make sure their lives are not truly lost. Envy the people pardoned for their sins, the once who don't beg for forgiveness are cursed. After that Marathoner tries to apologize to Grenadier, but Grenadier basically says forget it, it'll be over soon anyways... in his own psychotic way involving death threats. Marathoner then says that the hate has consumed Grenadier, and that he at least has repented... and then that forshadowing comes up again.

IV: The Secret Life of Josaphine Electra, American Gossip

Josaphine deserved a part. She's important. She's a cheater as described before. In this song her target is Grenadier's father (for personal gain). In the "for what you've done to him" the him is Grenadier. She doesn't really care for Marathoner at all. She's always been a killer for hire, that's why she says "it'll be just another routine day." At the end she wonders what will become of her once Grenadier's dad is dead or is already dead. She realizes that he is dead and then she says... "bring for the champions/oh, bring forth the heroes!/bring for denial..." She's denying that she has no role to play anymore. Josaphine is smart and manipulative, but she is also power hungry and demands a lot of attention. Her fears of Grenadier's father being dead becomne realized when Marathoner tells her (part 1).

A note on the names:

The full name "The Backwards Marathoner" is metaphorical... he does nothing to improve his situation, he lies down and just lets the world do him in the ass. In reality he's going backwards since day by day his life gets worse. "Grenadier" is simple, he was a grenadier in the army. Josaphine Electra is just... Josaphine Electra.

A note on the next two parts:

Part 5 will consist of either Grenadier or Marathoner dying by each others hands... Josaphine will help.
Part 6 will be a somber work, in it will be the unknown male figure from part 1.

A note on the characters:

There's no real good guy... all the characters are selfish pricks. And they're all cowards. As usual, comments on society are made in each song... bluntly or no so much.

Thanks for reading this... hope you enjoyed. I'll repost this with the last two parts when it's all done.

No problem... working on part 5 now. Been busy though, so it'll take a while.

I forgot to say what The Black Lights of Sitara signify... I mentioned it in part 4, I'm using it as a made up omen of troubles to come.

Hey I really like your writing...The format kind of reminds me of Canterbury Tales, except this isn't boring or pointless. Also, I like how, even though the storylines&characters seem a bit complex, you're keeping it easy to follow. Really awesome stuff, looking foward to the next one...

[and btw, I think you do deserve as much praise as you get]

My eyes burn from these tears.

TBLS is The Black Lights of Sitara, which is the album that all these songs are gonna be on.

I'm doing it for people on this site to either read and enjoy or to read and then enjoy ridiculing me. And because I had an idea in my head that I thought was kick ass.

your an excellent writer man. I cant wait for the conclusion.

Just wondering, do you have music and all to go with these or are these just words right now?
