does the fact that mtv is giving the ataris a bunch of attention bug anyone else? i don't need another one of my favorite bands to be ruined by corporate america.

they deserve the attention. sure itll bug me a tiny bit, but when it really comes down to it, im happy for em.
it only bothers me when people that watch mtv suddenly think ataris are a new band and that so long astoria is their only album. then those same people who came up to me the past 2 years and asked me what i was listening to and i would respond "ataris" they would proceed to tell me "dude they suck!". now instead they'll respond "yea man they're awsome that Diary song is great". sigh.... some people are just so dumb.

they havent worked that hard compared to other bands. especially when they have only been around for 3 years.

oh well i might be wrong. but on the Digital Cable thing, under "Alternative Rock" it said 1999 they formed. Yeah, I am probably wrong.
I still dont like them though.

I agree...I dont mind them being on MTV and everything..cuse they do deserve it..but when people are like yeah great new band..they deserved to be kicked...

This summarizes my feelings about bands getting huge well. It happened with Say Anything, Coheed And Cambria, Jack's Mannequin, etc.
