Patrick Stump (guitar/vocals):
1. Kanye West-Late Registration
Yeah, obvious. But fucking classic. Perfect album.
2. Charlie Wilson-First Name Charlie, Last Name Wilson
Gap Band singer goes solo with the help of R. Kelly and (?) Justin Timberlake. The latter produces one of the strongest tracks.
3. Ray Charles-the Atlantic Years Box Set
8 of the best records ever released...re-released.
4. Panic! at the Disco-Fever You Can't Sweat Out
These kids show me up every night. That's cool, they made an outstanding debut. They deserve everything.
5. the Bad Plus-Suspicious Activity
Organic but sometimes avant Jazz. Features a really epic version of the "Chariots of Fire" theme.
6. Alicia Keys-Unplugged
One of the best voices of pop music right now. Features a stunning duet with that guy from Maroon 5.
7. Memphis Bleek-534
Just Blaze is one of the best producers in hip-hop. Bleek is solid as a rock. Jay Z drops a SONG. Not just a verse. Worth it for that alone.
8. Missy Elliott-the Cookbook
She's out on her own now. She's no Timbaland, but she's doing pretty well.
9. R. Kelly-TP3.com
Yeah, my stomach feels a little weird admitting this, but I like his music and his voice. His lyrics get rowdy though.
10. Skillz-Confessions of a Ghostwriter
Criminally unpopular MC who could "Talk shit to the sun...[he's] just that hot."
Joe Trohman (guitar):
Arsis - A Diamond For Disease
Panic! At the Disco - A Fever You Can't Sweat Out
Spoon - Gimme Fiction
Make Believe - Shock Of Being
Danger Doom - The Mouse and the Mask
Kanye West - Late Registration
Stephen Malkmus - Face The Truth
Carcass - Heartwork (Re-mastered)
The New Pornographers - Twin Cinema
High On Fire - Blessed Black Wings

c'mon Patrick had to drop that Jay-Z plug in. after all, dude IS Patrick's boss.
and the song is fresh as hell.
So, Joe Trohman has a good taste in music
yes, but I for a moment I thought he had Weezer's new album on the list. :X
patrick listens to shitty music. wow...
He listens to a lot of rap and R&B. I'm not too fond of it either, but I wouldn't call it "shitty", thats just his preference.

OMG Patrick cursed!!!!!! At least he listens to music out of the realm.

i'm truely surprised about patricks list, although it does explain why his voice is so much like kanyes (sarcasm sarcasm)

Very interesting...were none of the albums so highly touted on this site good enough to make Patrick's top 10??

I commend Joe for picking Arsis and Carcass, both are great.
It's not a huge surprise to me that Patrick doesn't listen to the kind of shit he plays...I had heard long ago that most of the members of the band were into hardcore music and did this pop punk band as a joke, but it took off...who knows I could be wrong..

I guess it really is scene to like Kanye West now.
Though props to Stump for pointing out that Just Blaze is one of the best producers in hip hop. Bleek sucks, but he was dead on with Blaze.

Joe's list is A+, but I was suprised that he didnt list the new Mastodon album, Leviathan. He wore that albums shirt on TV and when my friend met him, so i thought he dug it. whatever. it doesnt matter.

How could that Patrick dude listen to so much good music, yet still be a member of Fallout Boy?

Was Pete rendered unconcious at the time which these lists were gathered....because its not very often that FOB is asked for their two cents on anything that he doesn't stick his nose in it.

I wish their taste was reflected in their music.
Woah, I never knew Patrick had that kind of taste, haha. They both picked good stuff though.

***s.
first time i've seen patrick stump cursed :] anyway i wouldn't expect he doesn't have even one album that i like on the list, i don't mind, now i know from where he takes melodies like in austin, we have a problem :-)

yeah, they even played hard core, but pop punk band wasn't for a joke, i heard patrick's fother was a musician too, he listens to all kind of stuff
and i am surprised too that joe didn't pick mastodon album
Isn't Pete the one who does most of the talking about Lifetime?
probably, since he's the one who does most of the talking period.

regardless for his taste mostly in hip hop, the dude's taste in hip hop sucks, i mean cmon memphis has always sucked, the missy cd was lacking and not as good as her past ones, the skillz cd isnt as good as he normally is especially since most of those tracks on the new one are on his older cds from 3 yrs ago, and then r kelly is just horrible. the dude doesnt even listen to good hip hop! and even though alot of people love it i think the new kanye is way overrated, yet still good, i just dont get why everyone thinks its number one...

patrick seems like he should be in the posse of jay-z or something like that, not playing a band that is adored by 14 year gals.

I love how they both put Panic! at the Disco in there, the guys voice is identical to Patrick, its like Parakeets being entertained by their own reflection
