So I went outside to smoke, and as I was packing my cigarettes this half-retarded guy walking along says something like "Geth ith outta therrr! Geth ith outta therrr!" like making some kind of retard joke.

Then he says how he was just coming back from the new X-Men movie... and proceeds to elaborately inform me of all the ins and outs of the X-men comic book series and the Spiderman series. How he was let down that the movies weren't true to the series. How the spider that bites Spiderman is not, in fact, genetically altered by scientists, but just happens to become that way by venturing into some gamma rays. How he likes to go to comic book conventions. How he went to Wrestlemania and the seats were so small they squished his ass. This was a solid 20-minute conversation, with a retard, about comic books.

There was literally no lull in the conversation where I could just be like, "Look man, I gotta run.." I even started walking away a few times, turning my shoulder to go, and he'd just continue talking, raising his voice so I just had to reply.

Fucking shit, best reason yet I've come across not to smoke.

edit: oh and when I was walking back, I saw a guy wearing a shirt that said "Jesus is a cunt" on the back.
