I don't find this all too surprising. Read the whole thing though.

The study's authors asked their 120 drinking and 120 sober participants to rate the attractiveness of 15-year-old girls vs. 19-year-old girls shown in photographs. The study participants were evenly divided between men and women. For ethical and legal reasons, the photos were actually altered images of 17-year-old students from McMaster University in Ontario who had given permission for their likenesses to be used.Researchers digitally manipulated the pictures to make the students' craniofacial features look like those of typical 15-year-olds or those of 19-year-olds. The doctored pictures were then shown in random order to participants recruited in bars, airport lounges, cafés and other natural settings.

So they were actually 17 year olds who were photoshopped, not 15 year olds or 19 year olds, yet they're concluding that men are more attracted to 15 year olds. That's extremely faulty evidence based on how they manipulated the photos. really stupid. Maybe they just photoshopped the "15 year olds" photos in a more attractive way than the "19 year olds"?

Either way, it makes sense, just because the law puts a number on what is "appropriate" doesn't mean that people are able to completely ignore their natural instincts to want young, fertile-looking mates to procreate with.

This is completely stupid and makes the study pointless in my eyes.

I would however, like to say that I find 15 year olds more attractive than 19 year olds :-p
