What you use, and how you use it.



I use an alesis micron, a microkorg, a korg x5d, a kp2 and an sp 303 that i run throught the kaoss pad to manipulate the samples.


Im in a Prog Metalcore Band.

I use an alesis micron also, a Roland FP-7 for my main, and a Yamaha (forgot model name) as a midi control that hooks up to my macbook.
Considering saving up some money and buying a better synth, any recommendations? Hows the microkorg?

micron is a hell lot better then the microkorg.

i honestly kinda regret buying it, after using the micron for a year the microkorg was a big letdown.

Good to know... I would try to get a moog, but those things cost a fortune

yeah ive wanted one for awhile now, but the price tag just doesnt do it for me.

what kind of music do you play?

well im in 2 bands, one is post hardcore, and the other is indie. I use keyboards an equal amount in both bands, though. The thing with post hardcore is that keyboards arent frequently used, so I try my best to incorporate it throughout the entirety of the song.

I really want the Sixty-One key Nord Electro 3, but the budget definitely doesn't call for one.

yeah those things are fucking expensive.
