It boggles my mind to think somebody could honestly consider Panic At The Disco's album the best of the week, let alone entire fucking year. Jesus Christ.

I love how this is anyone's defense when you bash a band. "Uh, everyone is entitled to their own opinion."
Shut up, you fucking sheep. A spade's a spade, and an awful band is an awful band.

FINALLY someone recognizes the amazingess of Nip/Tuck - I knew the carver the whole time. No one could have figured out why, or about Kit though. Hands down, the best acted and written show ever.
Although I am really confused why no one picked Rx Bandits for best live show, anyone ever see them live? They still tour.

You know what blows my mind. That you feel the need to comment on everyones best of 05 list, like you dont have anything better to do. Go back and check your elitism at Punk News, and while you're at it go write another shitty review.

everyone on this site is so fucking mean god damn. 1) panic! at the disco put out a great album. 2) who the fuck cares what he thinks? if he likes it, he likes it. that's not really your problem now, is it? does it seriously affect YOU personally what he thinks? i don't think so.

I am definently not "riding dick" I just personally think that its awesome that a band that has been working so hard and doing what they love for so many years are finally getting some recognition.
Also, I end up going to a show about once a week and I every type of band from The Good Life, Tilly And The Wall, and Pinback to Fall Out Boy, New Found Glory, and The Starting Line. I enjoy alot of different kinds of music and I like to support going to shows and Fall Out Boy just so happened to put on a really good show on their headlining tour this year.
You guys can sit here and tell me how shitty you think my music taste is and I am still going to listen to it regardless.
Merry Christmas!

Yeah man, it's incredibly time consuming to type up one line in 4 seconds and press the submit button.
If you'd check Darren's list, or Scott's list, and I think maybe Drew's too, I left positive comments. I hand out compliments where they're due, not like the rest of you people that feel the need to jerk some of these guys off because you both liked two of the same albums that came out this year. When somebody says something I don't agree with, I let them fucking know about it. You know why? Because it's the internet, and none of these guys are crying at night because I didn't like their list or insulted their choices.
You mindless pricks all use the exact same rationale, that if you criticise something, you obviously don't know what you're talking about, and are just commenting for the sake of it. Every time I say something, 10 of you fucking kids has to chime in with "MUZIK IS OPINION, HOW CAN IT B WRONG??????" Christ, give it a fucking rest. So I'm going to go back to commenting, and saying just what I feel, and you can write some more reviews to make mine look bad, oh, right, my mistake, you don't write anything.

usually when people say "everytype of something from __________ to ___________", the two blanks are opposite, or at least different. thats an extremely small spectrum and left me little room to imagine any other bands. shit makes sense.

Same with Rx Bandits, they easily put on one of the three best shows I've ever seen.

I for one could give a fuck about your opinion and if you noticed i never mentioned your precious opinion. I guess us mindless pricks and sheep need to make things more clear for you.
No what i have a problem with is the juvenile way you express your opinion, and basically just your general attitude towards people. There is a difference between criticizing a band and criticizing the person who likes the band. But whatever dude, if ripping people and bands over the internet makes you feel accomplished than keep on at it.
O and the argument about your writing is complete bullshit. Just because i don't write for a website i can't judge your writing. Are you in a band?....because if not than i guess you can't judge other bands now can you.

Wow, there's not much going on up there in your head is there? If you didn't care at all about my opinion, or what I'm saying, you wouldn't be replying. But instead, you sit there, trying to take some supposed higher moral ground over me, because I talk shit about bands, or people. Like I explained before, which you apparently didn't read, half the time it's just to get a rise out of people like you. Works like clockwork. All it takes is one "The new Fall Out Boy video is pretty awful" and the masses here are up in arms, spouting all sorts of ignorant garbage.
The difference with writing is this. Writing reviews is an assessment of a band. It's a job, it's an actual position. Talking shit on somebody's writing, however, is usually the product of some jaded fan of a band the person/reviewer shit on, angry because not everyone on earth thinks Cartel is the best thing to ever happen to music. Therefore, your entire argument is void. Congratulations, on your complete inability to relay any semblance of intelligence. Just quit now.

For starters, I'm fucking sick of reading your arrogant posts. There hasn't been one incident where you've ignored what someone has said on the internet. You find ways to rebuttal against what we say as if there's a point. And you know what, I'm a hypocrite right now because that's exactly what I'm doing. You have to defend yourself and you say it's just to get a rise out of people. I think we're getting a rise out of you because you have to keep defending what we're saying about you. If it's just the internet, why the fuck do you care so much?
Secondly, I'm a Journalism Major. Just because I write doesn't make me a better person and that doesn't mean some mindless prick on the internet can't tell me it's shit. He told you that you're writing sucked and you come back with some lame excuse that he probably thinks you're writing is bad because you bashed a band he liked. Bullshit. Once again your attempt to justify yourself on the internet proves that you're not any better than any one of us. We're just getting a rise out of you as much as you're getting one out of us.
Here's some advice: Grow up. If you say you're just trying to get a rise out of us, why do you keep coming back and defending yourself. Like you said, none of these people are going to lose sleep because of this. Why bother?
P.S. Bear Vs Shark is terrible and sucks in concert. How's that for my musical opinion?

If you noted your own hypocrisy in the beginning, why the fuck even continue?
Anyway, I don't know what's causing you to make the assumption that because I'm responding, you or anybody else is getting some sort of rise out of me. I think it's funny, to be honest. I'm not over here stomping my feet and furiously typing some retort. Also, you're assuming I was trying to justify my own writing, says who? I was pointing out a common occurance that I've experienced with my reviews, nothing more, nothing less. You can say otherwise all you want, doesn't make it true.
Oh and kudos on the bolding, really drive that point home. Here's the response you want me to give;
"Fuck you, Bear Vs Shark is awesome live and on record, you obviously know nothing of music if you're going to criticize a band like that.
Now here's my actual response;
"Terrific, you don't like them live, I do, case closed."
Take your redundant, hypocritical presumptions elsewhere, it's going to take a lot more than that to make me look stupid.

That is justification that your writing doesn't suck. You actually had to make a point to show that tambo doesn't know what he's talking about.
By the way, nice Hot Cross lyric in your signature. I might not respect what you say on the boards, but I can respect your musical opinions. :). Josh's (ex-hot cross) band superstitions of the sky is good acoustic stuff. Just adding in some of my musical opinions for you.

I never said, or implied opinions aren't around music. I said people like to use the "everyone has their own opinion" defense for shitty bands. I'll give an example. Take.. Puddle Of Mudd. Now, 99% of people would say that they suck, and that 1% would say, "they don't suck, it' just your opinion." Well no shit it's an opinion, but when you're the only person defending a band, there might be something to that.

I'm just going to address this by saying it's some hypocritical garbage. Last I knew, takes two to argue.
And as for SITS, I really liked Things Said In Passing, but Absolutely Nothing was pretty disappointing past the first three songs. And last I knew, they broke up, so now that Josh isn't with that or Hot Cross I don't know what the fuck he's doing.

I'm done arguing with you only because it's going to get me no where.
Superstitions didn't break up. Josh is doing something with the new My Chemical Romance CD and I think he moved out to California. Vadim is with Marigold. I heard when they get the chance they're recording an EP or something. Absolutely Nothing wasn't terrible. I actually really enjoyed it. I wish they stuck all acoustic though.

You really got a rise out of me. Completly ruined christmas, dont know if i can go on. Once again if you had read my post-i dont care about your opinion on any band. But, i do care about how you express your opinion, and how you treat people. Reading is hard, i understand.
And as for your rant about writing, i criticize writing when i think it's bad. I could care less about your opinions on anything, if the reivew is crappy than it's crappy.
Since you can't get beyond name calling and knocking my so called lack of intelligence, I'm done. Good luck with your next review.

1.) Head Automatica
2.) The Stiletto Formal
I think Armor For Sleep/ Panic At the Disco run slightly neck to neck for best album of the year. I could pop AFS in again again again and again more so than PATD. PATD & AFS are still quite new but AFS has a eery breath of "We've been here before"....it feels like they've been in the know for a long time. I agree with the rest of the following there after albums..I'm not so certain about Coldplay X & Y...Z I think Apple had something to do with their placement in your list..i like there old stuff better..however did "Walk The Line" be best movie of 2005:( .......I strongly beg to differ some can depict the past better than others I think Munich.. or even Syriana should be movie of the year or a few other Sundance Movies. But I think I'm only opinionative because I don't care for known actors and actresses as those I'd pick if I were producing or wrote the damn scrpts for them.
“Look At This Photograph” – Nickelback....lol. I like the dude's voice it's very powerful and sort of sexy in a grudgy way. I.......I like how it was placed here.
I'm gonna check the rest of the staff etc....now

anyone who thinks that panic at the disco is the best album of this year is obviously a completely retarded piece of shit who has no business anywhere NEAR a website that attempts to report credible happenings in the music world, in ANY genre.
fall out boy is bad enough; why would anyone even CONSIDER a band that blatantly rips them off so much at every turn that they sound like an exact carbon copy?
opinion or not, you are an idiot, and you are not to be taken seriously EVER again.

anyone who thinks that panic at the disco is the best album of this year is obviously a completely retarded piece of shit who has no business anywhere NEAR a website that attempts to report credible happenings in the music world, in ANY genre.
fall out boy is bad enough; why would anyone even CONSIDER a band that blatantly rips them off so much at every turn that they sound like an exact carbon copy?
opinion or not, you are an idiot, and you are not to be taken seriously EVER again.
"Opinion or not, you are an idiot."
Makes sense, I didn't know opinions made you an idiot.

makes perfect sense. idiot. No it doesn't because some can say that Hitler was a good leader, it's just what he did with all his power was wrong.
Opinions can't be wrong, douche bag.

Opinion - o·pin·ion (n): A belief or conclusion held with confidence but not substantiated by positive knowledge or proof.
Without positive knowledge or proof, opinions can absolutely be wrong.
Come again, douchebag?

Opinions are beliefs, just because they aren't verified by proof doesn't mean they're wrong. If my opinion says that the color red is the worst color in the electromagnetic spectrum, how are you going to say that's wrong? I can say whatever I want to say and my opinion won't be wrong. Who gives a shit if Brandon thinks Panic! is a good band. Music is more opinion than proof. Bear Vs Shark was the worst band I've ever seen live. TimeasIdealogy thought differently. Both opinions. Doesn't make mine wrong.
...Come again, douche bag?

My Chem a sell-out but Fall Out Boy not? I like both bands but if one is a sell-out the other is too.

whats with the fall out boy dick riding?.... best live show??? get out more and go see more shit
chances are you don't like fall out boy and that's probably why you're attacking a fan for saying they enjoyed their live show. I, however, like fall out boy and because of this when I go see them live I have an awesome time singing along and having fun. Give the guy a break, it's his list and if he had a great time seeing them he can list them as best live show.

to be fair, fallout boy is still doing the exact same shitty music they were doing before they got big. my chemical romance, on the other hand, tossed in an obvious pop factor in their new music that got them big.
