Hm...they're definitely going to have a hard time winning that grammy but I have a feeling they'll pull it off. I thought this part of the article was interesting:

"Along with the various influences that may or may not be incorporated in the follow-up to From Under the Cork Tree, the band said it'll incorporate vocal melodies more than ever before and that, from a lyrical standpoint, the band is in a much better place."

Vocal melodies and Patrick's voice are what make me love this band. The lyrics are pretty awesome too...just not as awesome as Patrick's voice...or his crazy chops.
