Hi, so I downloaded spss, a statistical modeling program I need for class, and now I am having trouble actually getting it on to my comp. It came with a crack (you normally have to pay) and I'm stuck on the first step...
It says: INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Burn or mount with PowerISO.
If and when I get passed this point step 2 always has me confused.
2. If installer asks for Serial Number then use the keygen in the EDGE
dir to generate one and complete installation until you get to the
License Authorization Wizard.
After this the instructions are easy, but can someone help me with these two? I'll attach the notepad doc in case it helps.
Thanks in advance.

I'm guessing your download came with a folder called EDGE that contains a keygen? Just use it and you should get a serial number.

Where did you get SPSS from, a torrent?
I had trouble with my keygen BS, so I just downloaded the trial version from the SPSS website. I think its good for 30 days or so.

I searched 'spss torrent' in google and found a couple sites. A friend of mine gave me his copy on a usb, but if that doesn't work ill download the 30 day trial.

regression analysis for one of my economics classes. I've used Stata for my stats and econometric classes, but this class wants me to use spss...which happens to be my final econ class. Why my professor couldn't just stick with Stata is beyond me. I guess its easier to use spss for dummy variables which we use a lot of.
One of these days I will learn matlab and sas.

that sucks man they make you use different programs, its hard enough to learn one. i have only used spss for data analysis in my psych courses. but ive never even heard of matlab for sas. im out of the loop.
